Truss Defends Profiteering Over People In Desperate Need

We have the very worst people in charge at the most desperate of times. Global peace and security at risk, climate change spiralling, cost of living crisis, Russian interference, open corruption in the age of misinformation ….. and we’ve got some pound shop Thatcher tribute act playing dressie-up for her instagram account every other day, likely to be in charge of our response to the lot!
l’ve never been more afraid of the future, particularly for my kids. What on earth kind of country are they going to grow up in?

Not even businesses really. Just big business, the ones her paymasters own or have shares in. It's all about protecting the profits of billionaires now. Nothing else.

Most businesses (who the Tories apparently used to support) are going to be as ****ed as everyone else.

I can imagine Truss isn't very bright and has no real ideas of her own. I feel she will be easily manipulated by the likes of the ERG and her donors. I don't think she's even bright enough to know she might be lying lol.

The lying thing is fascinating, molteni. Where Johnson was able to lie and appear sincere, truss' brain seems to rebel at the lie and you can see her thinking "will I get away with this?" a bit like when we were caught stealing sugar out of the sugar bowl as kids.

Yeah, she appears to struggle with it. That's what confuses me about Truss. She's a dreadful public speaker and commands no authority. She's devoid of ideas and really seems to be more of the same. I can see hardly any changes in cabinet if she is PM. That's certainly not what the Tory Party wanted if you believed them on the lead up to Johnson being ousted.
