'Pub Talk' with Alan Brazil and Ray Parlour

Youtube vid yes. Stage show? Paying to see Fat Alan guffawing through 90 mins of banal chatter live as he sweats out 40 years of severe drinking bouts would make me run a mile.
Alan Brazil has done well to still be alive. I used to listen to his breakfast show with Mike Parry years and years ago and he often just didn't turn up and when he did he was still leathered half the time.

He must have quit but maybe kept up the persona by drinking non alcoholic stuff?

Just watched a bit of the Merson one, he has been through some times of that is no doubt.

My one gripe about when people to talk him about Boro is they never talk about how good he was (Parlour tried but Brazil soon turned it back to the stories about Gazza). Yes he had played every game for Arsenal the previous season but under Robbo he forced his way back in to the England squad and went to the World Cup (unlike Gazza), as a Championship player and scored in the penalty shoot out against Argentina. I'm not sure if anybody else since has played for England in the World Cup from the championship??

Yet all people want to talk about is the bl00dy sleeping pill game or how we paid his brother god knows how much to travel with him

agree, but then it's a national station so the listeners are probably more interested in that stuff than how he got on on the field at Boro.
