Cleveland Police - bikes/off-road vehicles

Anyway, 3 of them came out of nowhere at me on Saturday evening on Belle Vue roundabout.
2 lads about 14 and an adult about 40. Had to do an emergency stop and nearly hit one of the lads. He just looked at me and gave me the one fingered salute before roaring off. None wore helmets....off road bikes.
Also saw the full compliment Sunday Marton Road Aldi was about 50 of them...
Thanks 👍
Didn't one get hit on Keith Road? Saw loads of polis and ambulances there and road was shut for hours with a casualty laid out.
I drove past small groups of them later on, they must have been heading home but round Grove Hill seeing 3,4,5,6 of these lads with ski masks on isn't out of the ordinary.

It's not just about police numbers which are ridiculously low but also about the fact that every police force have policies that prevent police from pursuing motorbikes due to safety issues. Ironically, if you don't tackle these issues the problem snowballs and the roads become increasingly dangerous as demonstrated in hartlepool 6 or 7 months ago with the death of a young lad who was killed on raby road whilst riding a quad bike.
Difficult to stop someone on a quad or a trials bike. How do you propose doing it. I know a house in Darlo that has a couple of the miscreants in who will occasionally ride these devices across parkland. Short of the aforementioned snipers I don't see how you stop them without inadvertently killing or injuring a few. Chasing them just adds to the "buzz" they are after and if the police are in cars a quick turn into a lane and they've gone.

Maybe more rules on selling motorbikes and quads, maybe every quadbike should have a license, and insurance before being sold. i dont believe most of these bikes are stolen but bought by parents who should know better,
You'd be surprised, a significant proportion are stolen, probably not by the person riding but somewhere down the line.

The police need to be on trials bikes as well. I know that West Yorkshire and North Yorkshire have off road bikes available.

The thing is that a lot of these people are engaged in other criminality so dealing with this sort of activity disrupts other potential criminal acts.

I've wondered for some time what would happen when the scum realise how few police are on duty at anyone time in the towns , and if they organised....We are about to find out.
Expect mass food raids from shops and supermarkets.
Dystopia is just around the corner I'm sorry to say.

You get what you voted for…….we have been shafted big time by this government/party. Hopefully in 2024 people will vote them out.
