How you all doing

I'm sad, lost my lovely dog on Tuesday very suddenly and totally gutted about it....particularly as I work away so wasn't with family when it happened. Been a bit weird at work as I'm quite open with my emotions so spent most of yesterday Sat at my desk crying haha.

Other than that, looking forward to getting home in time for the Barnsley game next week 👍🏻
Sorry to hear about your dog, the impact of losing a loved one/pet suddenly and unexpectedly is always particularly hard. I know what you mean about sharing with others, sometimes you don't want to or aren't able to mix work and personal stuff.

Evening everyone.
Hope we are all doing ok this Sunday.

I was at Peterborough vs Morecambe yesterday, great 3-0 win for them but spoilt by my phone going off every 5 minutes with the updates from Loftus Road. ☹️

Sorry to hear about your dog manhead☹️☹️

Well I’ve just finished my timeline.I’m not sharing it on here though!

7,000 words, 10 pages…. No bloody wonder I’m depressed.

I might write an autobiography one day. Reckon I’d get a book deal?

Good evening young man! (imagine a Cloughie voice only perhaps with a little more empathy)

I hope the experience of writing your timeline was cathartic. As for the autobiog, if it helps start writing, if it helps you it is worth the effort.

Sorry to hear about your dog Manhead, as a dog owner I know what it feels like when you lose a companion like a treasured dog. I remember watching Art Garfunkel at Glasto one year and he sang "Bright Eyes" a song I'd never really liked previously and I just had to sit down and cry in a packed tent for the loss of my old dog some years previously. It just brought it back. Odd because at the time the song that I associated with him was Moon River* it featured in an advert at the time as I recall. As Kipling said "what fools we are when we give our hearts to a dog to tear"

Peace everyone. We are all better for other people. Be kind.

Oh, dream maker, you heart breaker
Wherever you're going, I'm going your way
Two drifters, off to see the world
There's such a lot of world to see

Hello Aet.
I'll be going to watch Plymouth Argyle v Peterborough on Wednesday in the 1st round of the cup. I've become a part-time plastic Argyle fan as I've lived here for a few years.
I'll no doubt get confused though when the away fans start chanting Boro 😁

I don’t think there will be many away fans!

They play again in the league next Saturday I believe too.

You are correct, by a strange coincidence Peterborough play again at Home Park on Saturday.

How many away fans will be there do you think? I'll do a head count and post on this thread. I'm going to go for 68 👍
(And you never know, some of those fans might stay down for a mini Devon holiday before the game on Saturday)

Now then, aet. Just seen this, I was out being a sad old folkie. You sound in better form, great to see. And trust me, there's no money in books! ;) KBO mate.

I did a "Life Story" 2 years ago, while I was in Rehab. about 10 pages as well and my therapist said I had been raped by a woman. Erm no I hadn't, fk knows why she wanted to say that... Just made me angry

No worries on the accent front afcb.
Been here a couple of decades and they still think I sound like a Geordie.

Every time a Janner calls me a Skunk I call them Cornish and most of them get the point.

Remember there’s always three versions of the truth. Your version. Their version. And then there’s what actually happened.

I’m partly dreading mine getting dissected and pulled to bits if im being honest.

Up and down Harry.
You know how it is.
As for the book, I was never sure there was much of an appetite for “Confessions of a severely depressed homosexual football fan” anyway.

It's definitely cathartic to write things down. I have blogged quite a bit in my past, even self-publishing a couple of books. I write in small bursts now when I feel the need. I used this site as a micro-blogging receptacle last year when was stuck in hospital in Norwich waiting to have my bypass surgery. It helped a lot. I've since written down what the surgery was like and added it to another diary I was keeping, but forgot I had it stored in the OneDrive and someone I didn't want to see my innermost thoughts got hold of it. So be careful with that...

Absolutely !!! no one else is seeing what I wrote! I emailed it to the counsellor yesterday and deleted it off my hard drive immediately!!

Awful when you lose a dog isn't it?
