Wilder meets the Fans

That’s good to know as still think this avenue is worth exploring.

I was worried we’d go down the pullis/warnock xenophobic route.

Wilder's discussed it a few times in press conferences already, but he mentioned the differing levels of intensity in leagues compared to the Championship again and how players can struggle with the transition, so it wouldn't surprise me if we're looking at the German leagues for players as he namechecked it as one which is at a comparable level to English football.

All young footballers want is a decent bedroom, super fast wifi and a 100 inch TV screen. They don’t need 5 bedrooms, a garden and a play area for the kids. Most apartment blocks are very secure especially the car parking.
The club have a few apartments in and around Yarm, Bamford was in one when he was here.

The thing about playing Connolly, he probably had to pick him for games and ensure he got a certain number of appearances, or ‘minutes’ as they say now, as part of the loan agreement. That’s how a lot of these deals work. Parent clubs want their players to play and this is the risk you take when you agree to that sort of commitment.

Which is why we need to be careful when adding the likes of Muniz on loan, and a potential factor in why these deals can take a long time to negotiate and complete. Someone like Steffen is easy, he’s the No1. But outfield players can be difficult, especially strikers. If they’re not doing the business but you’ve signed something saying they have to be involved then you’re screwed. Ignoring or breaking the terms of a deal can also affect future business and relationships, people in football talk to each other and know who they can trust.

Also, it’s easy to criticise the manager for picking Connolly without knowing the ins and outs. But Sporar went off a cliff after Christmas, Coburn was getting hammered on here after he started against Millwall and had a hard time, and Watmore can do 70mins max. The only real talking point is Balogun, who showed flashes here and there but nothing on a consistent basis where you thought he was a nailed on starter. That’s the reality of it IMO.

We needed strikers, we gambled on two loan players and it didn’t work. That’s the nature of gambling. We move on.

Sporar took his first goal so well when he smashed it home on the run towards edge of box it unfairly slanted our opinion of him
spot on, first impressions are lasting. People then raved about him, and didn't want to back down from that stance.....you just need to look at brexit as a measure of how people make mistakes but refuse to publicly accept it

Never mind not getting an e-mail, not even in my Spam Spam Spam folder I didn't even know it was being shown on zoom. And why FMTTM posters FMTTM is not the be all and end all of being a Boro fan. There is many devoted Boro fans who have nothing to do with this site or any forums at all.

If Robs comments were a joke(as hinted at above) fair enough but I have heard funnier jokes.

Don't blame me - I didn't make any comments/jokes.
The event was not on zoom.

I received a handful of tickets for Fly Me To The Moon - and handed them out. But it was all arranged very late indeed and yet was very successful in terms of a massive turn out. It was a free event but there were envelopes on tables for collections for the Middlesbrough Disabled Mini Bus Appeal as requested by Fans Forum members.
Gordon Cox was the host for the evening and was excellent.
So, the whole evening came together late, some people were invited by the club yesterday. But it worked very well.

You're missing a key point about Sporar that meant people rooted for him. Heeeeee's Slovenian....

To be fair to Sporar, although it didn't work out I never saw or read anything to suggest he wasn't anything other than professional and enjoyed his time here
