Is anyone else loving the heat?

I was in Spain during one of their heatwaves in June, this feels nice and quite bearable unlike the Spanish one. I guess the one in June has toughened me up,

when I lived in Saudi or Libya I loved the blistering heat, especially during the evening when you could stroll outside like you were floating on air.

I love it. The funny thing is that most people say the only thing missing in the UK is the weather. That's why they go on holiday.

Yet we get 2-3 of really hot and we are getting 'danger to life' warnings and the threat of Ambulances setting on fire lol.

It's just the ridiculous dramatic press reporting as usual. Give it a few months and it will be about snow. its only weather and not Armagedon.

I`ll be honest I don`t like it, fair skinned and ginger to boot

21 degrees is about my limit before I start to feel uncomfortable but at the moment I`m not out in it so I can bare it for a couple of days

Slept good last night so all in all I`m ok with it
Also good that I`ve got a walk in shower so can cool down at any time

Enjoy as we`ll have a cold snap towards the end of the week of 17 degrees

I was cutting the grass and scarifying it, lovely warm day for it. I love extremes, hot or cold.

yes, these are nice temps for a few days, and a bit of fun. unfortunately, I don't think our descendents (by that I mean our kids) will be saying the same when its 5, 10 or 20 degrees hotter.

You are either all weird or retired with nothing to do

Sorry but if you have to carry on with your normal life in this heat it’s horrible.
I left a bar at 11ish last night, what a lovely gentle warm atmosphere to walk out into, very pleasant.
If you have experienced hotter and I have ( recently) then you can adapt to it, I had 10 days in Spain of furnace like heat, I was camping as well so I couldn't go anywhere near my tent from 10am to 7pm I just had to suffer under shades where I could, then at night because I was in the mountains it would become cold so there was no respite from variations in temps.
This heat in the UK is mostly ok, we just aren't used to it. However if I hadn't gone to Spain I might be moaning as well.

Only drawback for me is having to water my allotment twice a day, could do with a good thunderstorm, can't remember last time we had a decent downpour.

No it’s far too hot.

Mid 20’s absolutely fine. This isn’t pleasant to work or sleep in.

Not good for my dog either.

It’s fine if you’re not working and sat in a beer garden. Awful if you’re travelling, working in a factory/kitchen etc.

Those who compare it to being on holiday must have air con fitted in every room of their house.

Tip for sleeping well in these conditions is to freeze a hot water bottle and take it to bed with you.

Don't fill it too full before freezing.

To sit and have a couple of beers in the shade in the evening, then it’s quite pleasant for an hour or two. To have to function normally at work or doing normal daily missions like school runs, shopping etc… Nope.
I wouldn’t dream of going on holiday to these temperatures without A/C. In fact, I wouldn’t dream of going on holiday to anywhere that’s around 40 C, irrespective of A/C.
