Makes sense, struggled to make an impact in the recent ODIs and will help his mental health also. An opportunity for someone else, maybe Jordan Thompson of Yorkshire, who impressed me as an all rounder in the Vitality Blast.

I'd say fairplay. He's probably 'throwing away' the chance to make a few quid in franchise cricket for a few years (presuming he's including that?)

*edit*... Didn't realise he was still playing T20s. So may still play franchise.

It's usually the other way round.

The current cricket schedule is brutal. I know they are paid well but it's difficult to play all 3 formats. Funnily enough exactly what KP said all those years ago.
