McCartney at Glastonbury

Absolutely - definitely not playing to the crowd. Needs a really strong finish - seen quite a few moving to other stages - sad given he is legend. The song for his new wife then 1980 and maybe I’m amazed didn’t get people engaged either - get the crowd going Paul - C’mon

Put it on and realised I know hardly any of his songs. Not liking any of this stuff bath the Beatles songs to be honest.

Listening to Maybe I'm Amazed now. God it's bad. Gonna turn it off now as I don't want to remember him like this. Hopefully it's just TV making it sound bad and it's ok for those who are there.

If he sang songs we knew his voice would be saved / supported by the sing along. 90% don’t know most of what he is singing so just dance or clap. Singing his new album tracks at 80 is beyond indulgent even if he is Sir Paul McCartney. Thank God he is now getting folk more engaged - come on Paul

I was at Glasto for the Stones.

Those on social media who watched from home slated them but those at the gig loved it.

It’s probably the same here.

He’s 80. So he’s not gonna put in the performance of the 20 year old but his performance seems perfectly fine to me.

Yeah he could fill the whole set with The Beatles. But he’s not just The Beatles, so why should he?

He doesn't have the voice to sing anymore but people wouldn't mind singing along to a past it legend singing great songs. Singing songs nobody has heard and doing it terribly isn't legendary. Very poor set so far for someone with a bank catalogue of his calibre.

I don’t know if I’m on delay, he’s just sang here today and so far this has been very dull. Crowds flat as the songs are poor and seemingly obscure. The difference in crowd noise when he’s done a Beatles song.
