Yeah fair point. I've only been in the Spring or Autumn. I'll do pre-season back at RockcliffeYou love the weather! I guess you haven't in summer!!!!
Totally agree about the fans though
It should there are some superb places to visitGermany never enters my head as a place to visit for anything
I dare say your right but I think of Italy , Spain ,Greece , Hawaii ,Barbados etc as dream places to go but Germany never comes to mindIt should there are some superb places to visit
Athletic Bilbao.... great city, great area, nice people in my experience..... and access to a Transporter Bridge
So that is why they never offered me a contractI don’t know if it’s still the case with them, but there was a point where they only signed Basque players. To think they’ve ran that model and managed to stay in the top division for as long as they have is incredible.

17-19 Middlesbrough - the Juninho years
-skills for days the next big thing, cup finals, Europe, England. a falling out with the hierarchy after a few too many heavy sessions and chest freezer knee tremblers.

23-25 Liverpool - the Souness years
after a headbutt to Roy Keane’s chest at the champions league final.. the pool calls and think they can tame the beast. bringing back old school spirits for the dark arts. Spice Girl on each arm and top of the chart fronting a scouse mega band.
26-28 Arsenal - the Parlour years
after shytting in Steve G’s kit bag and spitting in Jamie Carragher mouth Wenger feels spiritual enlightenment is the way forward. Mushrooms and LSD revolutionise Arsenal for a 2nd time, tie die kits and free love are the order of the day.
29-31 Barcelona - the Mendieta years

35-37 Middlesbrough - the Downing years
Gibbo gets my mobile number off Clooney and starts blabbing at 3am pished out of his tree. Jump in the jet to sort him out get boro promoted despite having a mopey dunce of a manager. The fans kick off every time I step on the pitch after a few innocent windmills and a wave of the chocolate starfish.
37-39 LA Galaxy - the Xavier years
Might have tested positive for all of the drugs Maradona and Pete Doherty plead for me to seek help. I join Scientology and start hanging round with Tom Cruise not sure if I ever feature for the team but I wear the shirt most days.
40++ Middlesbrough Player/Manager
18 month NLP based coaching badges an an excel spreadsheet. The future is bright, a big watch and a full vape, who knows what the future will hold.. ?
I believe I gave a full and comprehensive answer. Barcelona would be the ideal but LA Galaxy would be the most likely. As for the spice girls.. it would be Mel C and Emma Bunton. Are you answering a different question? One involving time travel and nonsense?
Barrow for me. I love the South Lakes and that's as close as you can get for a football team I think. And it's got a famous bus station which isn't too chewy.
Oh thats a good shout!Fiorentina crazy fans beautiful place and a place to wear a perrple werk shert. Playing style skillful cynical dirty fullback just like my Sunday League days
Barrow is an absolute hole! You’d be better signing for Windemere or Ambleside and playing in the Westmorland leagueAre you answering a different question? One involving time travel and nonsense?

I wouldn't have to live in Barrow. Ulverston is OK.Barrow is an absolute hole! You’d be better signing for Windemere or Ambleside and playing in the Westmorland league
I'm not sure why more English players don't chose to play in another country. Main land Europe has some wonderful countries and people with brilliant football clubs and cultures.
Haven't all young kids imagined playing for a big European team? The generation I belong to grew up with Gazetta Football Italia so Serie A has always had a bit of mystic even if it's no longer the best league. When I was a kid the lads I played football with all had ideas of playing for various clubs in the big leagues. My favourites:
Italy - Milan and Sampdoria (I loved their team that reached the European Cup Final at Wembley in 1992)
Germany - Dortmund and Eintract Frankfurt (just liked their name as a kid)
Spain - Valencia
Netherlands - Either Ajax or PSV
France - Lyon
Portugal - Benfica (I have a Portuguese friend who is a massive fan)
Norway - Brann (I worked in Bergen for 14 months so hence that)
