Same feelings here.

I'd really like him as more of a rotation option this season if I'm honest.

He's super fit, great guy, great pro, can cover a number of positions and is rarely injured. But I think his lack of physicality, power and aggression leaves us lacking a bit when the chips are down and the game becomes a battle. He doesn't ever seem to get anything extra out of the players as a captain/leader either.

Not singling Jonny out particularly on that to be honest, a decent chunk of the squad seems to be mentally weak and lack the strength and fight I'd expect from an 'up for it' champo side.

But I'm glad he's here, a squad position we don't need to fill.

Happy that he is staying but I would prefer if it is not as 1st choice. Hoping we can bring someone in at DM that offers a bit more. Howson has been good but not spectacular in his time here. I think we can improve in that area.
