Help needed re. Headingley Test

Myself and 4 mates are going to the Saturday of the Headingley Test from Doncaster. Obviously there is the proposed rail strike so we are thinking of driving there. Does anyone know where the nearest car park is? I have Googled it but the results are not very helpful.

I’m in the same boat, mate. Looking at Morrisons car park Kirkstall, but not yet found where I can pre-book with a website I trust. Was hoping to do it direct with Morrisons, but haven’t yet managed it. It’s a 15 minute walk from the ground

There the same day. Looking forward to it given how the first two games have gone.

This link should help. Think there is a park and ride from just north of headinley which might be easier to use than trying to park near the ground as not much parking Headingley

Same boat here, I'm hopeful they'll be at least SOME services running between Sheffield-Leeds. Otherwise we'll have to knock it on the head I think. Timing of coaches is bizarre at best.

Thought there would be trains running just not as many. Worth waiting until nearer the day to see if they put out reduced timetables.

Beckett Park is up at the Met uni, it’s not much of a walk down to the ground from there. There are plenty of side streets around there that you could possibly park on for free if you get lucky.

There are lots of "student" housing in the streets around the ground, I have had no problems parking there in the past just choose one of the streets off Otley Road and don't try to get too close to the ground. The students have all gone home so it should be pretty empty. Of course when I did it there wasn't a rail strike on. If you are coming from south of Leeds the area around Burley Park Station is similar.

A lot of the street directly opposite are coned off…

If you come up Shaw lane and go straight on at the junction onto St Anne’s Road you’ll be able to get parked there. (Look on a map)

5-10 min walk to the stadium

Looks like the trains might not be an option, likely miss the morning and evening sessions.

Timings of buses mean I can get into Leeds for 0600 and leave at 0120 but nothing timed suitably otherwise really.

Hopeful of refunds being offered if I'm honest.

There’s plenty of side streets behind Headingley Station. I used to live around there and you’ll be able to park there easily. Only 15 minutes walk up to the stadium from there. LS53HG will take you to the area.

I always use Beckett Park. It is a park and ride service but I usually just walk down the hill to the ground. Some decent cafes etc for brekkie. The walk back up the hill usually takes longer!

Would have gone but doing Edgbaston v India early July.
