neil warnock - under investigation from F.A.- asked player for £6,000 a month to play - claim.

If true then he deserves to have the FA come down on him

Id be disapointed in him if the allegations are true, always wanted him to manage the Boro & happy he achieved his ambition to manage us when he did, for me, he saved our football club

I have posted some stuff previously about Warnock, when he was still managing the club and certain financial issues which although I know to be 100% true, and in some cases have been repeated by those involved and so are in the public domain but admin deemed it unsuitable for posting on here, these involved similar allegations as those made by Puncheon and Vine, plus one or two others, for example all club fines were paid in cash, I understand that the forum doesn't want litigation or anything contentious but there are without doubt plenty of stories about Warnock that repeat a set pattern of behaviour that doesn't reflect very well on him.

Nothing would surprise me with the dodgy old dinosaur. So
Glad he’s nowhere near our football club anymore
Wonder how much longer he'll stay on social media embarrassing himself if this turns out to be true. I agree, I am glad we got rid when we did.

All allegations at this present time. He has not been found guilty.
People saying Warnock did nothing for free are forgetting all his frequent (zoom) public appearances which would have been in person but for Covid. He jumped in on numerous supporter zoom calls and would stay for an hour or longer. Even joining fans in North America for instance. There were invites to the training ground for kids like the poor lad that collapsed in the crowd at Derby County.
And I know it became a running joke but Neil Warnock's bumbag was a genuine attempt to keep fans engaged and give out free signed photos in a Covid-safe manner. Remember Warnock had already had covid and was in a high risk group.
Let's not jump on someone based on accusations as yet unproven.

Sections of our fanbase flabbergast me at times. Neil Warnock steadied a sinking ship with us, and saved us from almost certain relegation to League 1. Going down would have been truly devestating for the club, so I am stunned when people seem to almost revel in any form of negative chat about the bloke.

And some people will give him a free pass on anything because he got the 8 points required from 8 games needed to avoid relegation.

Spot on. He was the perfect man to steer the club away from relegation and out of the covid times.

Not a free pass. But that was an incredible achievement - every bit as good as Terry Venables saving us from the drop from the Premier. In both cases we were going down. And going down fast. Warnock saved us and at the same time took massive earners off the wage list. A brave move but one that gave the club financial stability for the future.

Who mentioned Venables? As it happens I don't think Warnock's achievement was as impressive as Venables.
When Venables took over we were second bottom, 11 points from 16 games. He won 31 points from 22 games and finished 14th.

And the massive earners he bravely took off the wage list? Are they the same earners whose contracts had expired and refused to play the additional games beyond that?

I'm thankful for the job that Warnock did for us but that doesn't deflect from the string of stories and tales I've been told, heard and read about some of his antics regarding money, the same applies with Venables I'm thankful for the job he did at the club but it doesn't stop me from having a critical opinion of his business dealings and some of his financial arrangements.
