Boris Johnson, with his sorry not sorry because big house and I wasn't there, statement has just ended himself if more photos emerge of him mingling.

I highly doubt any of this is over.
 
His fellow Tory MPs are clearly preparing for him to go.
He`s convincing no one - and clearly out of his depth right now.
Hes talking about people being "rude".
He`s lost it.
He looks like hes sinking.
 
If Boris Johnson somehow did the honorable this and resigned, who would likely be his replacement and would they be much better? Also would it likely trigger a general election? This is a serious question and not a dig.

I hope so. Once he had to reply to Starmer and others, rather than read out the prepared statement, he was hopeless, back to his incoherent self, blustering and whatabouting.

On A Different Bias podcast it was mentioned that Johnson is probably still the leader because Liz Truss may well be the next leader, and that scares the crap out of the back bench

No it doesn't. trigger a GE. In fact Tony Blair resigned from PM Office after winning his third GE for Brown to take over. There was no election.

They dont want their constitutants to see that they are missing a backbone in defending the indefensible.
In private they ought to be plotting his downfall, if not then they are fast becoming the architects of their own stinking downfall.
 
His constant diversions using Ukraine / Vaccine rollout / etc has worn out and not even wafer-thin any more.
Im surprised he hasnt claimed inspiration and blood - linage from Churchill.
What next for this obsessive criminal liar who has the title "Prime Minister" - to HM The Queen?
 
It's telling that no-one is questioning whether Johnson did wrong anymore just whether he's going to get away with it, think about that for one second and it is incredible that the leader of the country is defined not by his abilities or policies but rather his capacity to escape intact from behaviours and attitudes that would be the end for other politicians.

The nausea inducing spectacle of a man who has already taken full responsibility for these actions on several occasions without having any concept whatsoever of what taking responsibility looks, smells, tastes or sounds like shows the lip service and contempt Johnson has for each and every one of us.

Beyond Johnson's insincere pathos and total inability to grasp the harm he continues to inflict on the Office of PM the big take out of this for me is the failure of the Met Police to do it's job properly and with any consistency, that failure is complicit in shielding and protecting Johnson from the proper fall out and punishment fitting for his actions and denial thereafter.
