Partygate

Some staff drank alcohol. A No 10 official sent a message on internal No 10 systems referring to µdrunkenness¶ and advising staff to leave No 10 via the back exit. The No 10 official informed the investigation team that they did this in order to avoid staff being photographed by the press outside.

I've flicked through most of it and what I found astounding is the notion that the PM didn't realise these gatherings / parties were happening - he attended (albeit briefly) and must have known that these events were continuing once he left.

As such it is obvious that he mislead the house and should resign.

Edit: Removed the Starmer bit - not relevant

He's had less than 30 minutes to read the report, that's not enough time to react with 6 questions on the report. Plus there's a statement on it directly after.

At the back of where I live, lives a headmistress of a local primary school and her and her partner regularly have people over in the garden for drinks and this may go on until around midnight, maybe a little later. These events aren't rowdy but you do hear them laughing and enjoying each other's company and it is a sound you can live with. How the prime minister couldn't hear the commotion going on in the same building is beyond me, especially if there were scuffles going on.

The Abba party one is a proper stitch up. 2 events that day but only states fpn were issued on that date, rather the breaking it into 2

Of course he's got away with it. He hasn't got a decent bone in his body and was never going to resign. His party also have neither the desire or the balls to oust him. Add in what on the surface appears to be a corrupt or at least non-partizan police investigation and it has always been clear to me that we will have to suffer this Tory rule for many years to come.
Any hope I had of the electorate changing the direction this country is heading in has long since evaporated.

Sorry to use this word again but they really are a pack of despicable, disgusting c*nts.

They’ve tried to orchestrate a stitch up but are being, and will continue to be, completely outflanked by a former political ally. It makes you sick to the pit of your stomach, to see the behaviour and the excuses made on their behalf. This government is rotten to the core. But the leaks and revelations are going to continue. We know it. They know it. It’s just absolutely shameful.
