Burnley

I’m looking forward to playing them next season. A club I have never really liked. Obviously the Wilder stuff gives it a little more meaning too.
Another one local to me in Bolton. Plenty of good away days Burnley, Preston, Blackburn, Blackpool all a train journey away.

Hahahaha - over the moon they are down. Fans acted like Billy Big Balls last time they came here - singing and goading Boro fans at the front of the West Stand. We had too much class to rise to it. Big fire sale coming and hopefully a few years of Championship obscurity. Whilst I have no love for Leeds really happy Burnley are down

Don't they now need to pay back 50-60 odd mil? Also no manager and a few players with contacts up.

Proper sh*t creek without a paddle.

Always look forward to playing them. Have a good mate who supports them and we go to both games. In last few meetings they have strangely been either midweek or at Christmas.

£60m loan to pay back and - if I read correctly - 9 first team players out of contract ? 😳😳
They do have some sellable assets so will get a decent amount of money back but a total rebuild with a new manager......not too many teams have been relegated then immediately promoted doing this. And let's face it, players went to Burnley for the top PL wages. Now with Championship wages.....not as attractive.
Yup, they look like they could be f*cked.

Always had a soft spot for Burnley, Bolton, Blackburn. The Boro's of the north west. Shame they went down, not sure getting rid of Dyche was the right thing.

Like the other clubs mentioned and us, a long stint out of the top flight beckons.

They already spent half the Chris wood cash on Weghorst. And there’s no chance they would get a fraction of £40 m for pope
Yes Weghorst cost £12 m for his two goals. Whilst Pope is a fantastic keeper who would pay £40m for him? The top paying clubs all have a decent keeper already.

Yes whilst the likes of Brighton, Fulham, Brentford and Bournemouth push on.

Arsenal paid £30m? for Ramsdale so an extra £10m for Pope - can't see it. As said the top 10? PL clubs all have good (better) keepers so where would he go.

I could see West Ham make a move for Pope as Fabianski is getting on a bit now. Perhaps even Spurs as the same applies to Lloris.
