Derby , again

Of course it's Gibson's fault. That deal with Morris was that he couldn't sell the ground back to Derby for less than £200 million - ok that's just me trying to sound like a paranoid ram, rather than any evidence :ROFLMAO:

Whatever happened with Wycombe? Did they get a pay out after Gibson got ours from Mel?
I think it's still ongoing, but the coverage and faux outrage from Derby fans when compared to their view on Wycombe action is stark in contrast.

I think a few Championship clubs will feel increasing pressure around FFP, Blackburn only avoided punishment over a deal to "sell" their training ground, Stoke are close, Reading still, Birmingham in a financial mess and others must be close too.

It could have been their intention to go to the death at the start, it probably means that any additional payments to players going out of contract may not have to be picked up by any new owners.

I really really feel for them, but every time I hear or read anything that somehow blames their current situation in Boro or Steve Gibson and there is no attempt to self reflect on what has been one of the most mismanaged teams, with total disregard for the financial constraints of the league the more that sympathy is eroded.

I do hope they get something over the line in time but it is looking very rocky now.

I really hope they survive despite all the shenanigans that have gone on.

I'm sure most of their fans are now reflective of the situation and realise it was Mel Morris who destroyed the club. Of course there are fans looking to blame anyone and everyone on their message boards, it's a denial situation for many not wanting to admit to themselves they got it wrong.

Reality is that before this debacle most wouldn't have had negative feelings towards Derby and prior to this, they were a good club, good support and decent fans.

They deserve all the punishment they get but at the end of the day we know how it feels and 1986 could have gone very, very differently.

I don't really feel any now, and I'd suggest 90% of any animosity that exists is from them towards us.

Should I respond in kind? That's how the world ends: with 2 sides pointing at each other saying "they started it!". We're better than that, aren't we?

They're very emotional, and rarely do the emotional make rational decisions.
