Season's over, can I boo Connolly now?

But how quick is this movement? Is it really likely that Wilder will find another 15 points to contend for automatic promotion next season? Or five or six more to grab 5th or 6th?

Or struggle to find the right players and lose £ millions more just floating around in the Championship?

I don't see Boro play week in week out so I don't know but Wilder seems to be a favourite on here.

Let's hope for a good season.
The first half of the season was dragged down by the previous manager. After Wilder started our PPG was enough for a finish in the play off places.

You'd only need to maintain that form throughout next season to be up there. Needs to improve to be challenging for automatic, but it's not unattainable.

As I said, if you extrapolate CW PPG over a full season we would have finished 5th, which includes some patch results with a squad we now know he thinks is short of what is needed.

On this basis there's an awful lot to be encouraged about.

He has scored 3 in 13 appearances (239 minutes - mainly substitute, only made one start) compared to Connolly 2 in 18 (1187 minutes) and Balagun 3 in 18 (890 minutes). Uche got 2 league goals for us in 20 appearances (649 minutes) earlier in the season.
I remember he scores on his debut, but hadn't followed his progress since then, although I had an idea that he was usually on the bench.

I don't think he's the answer at all if I'm honest, he's not mobile enough to suit our play, but it highlights how poor the two we brought in have been when fans question whether we should have stuck with Uche.

He's got a big heart and I hope he gets a decent move, maybe back to Wycome, I hope they win the play offs.

It's the biggest task the club has this summer in finding strikers who fit and who score goals. Other positions are a little easier to fill, but established strikers cost money and we will have to invest a bit for sure, because we probably need three.

Summed up yesterday for me when, just after he came on, he got the ball just off the corner of the box. Someone called out - words to the effect of “go on then, show us what you can do”.

Connolly immediately ran into three defenders and of course lost the ball. Answered the question alright.

there must be a player there ... must have had decent games to get to Brighton ... showed very little in his time here tho ... hope he can turn it around but he must think his future in football is limited

Brain dead song. It really ***ed me off on saturday to hear it.
I can't wait for the news he has left Rockliffe for the last time.
Don't think its too bad.
I don't think too many people should get offended by that at a footy match.
There is a lot worse language floating about in songs and general comments.

hasn't shown anywhere near enough but there must be a player in there somewhere.
remember his first game, where he tried a shot into the top corner and wasn't far away. imagine if it flies in. fine margins.

you do wonder where he goes next though. probably another loan. will score 20+ with our luck.

I made excuses when he played, having a row with an old bloke with who booed him before he he touched the ball, but he was not very good.

I'm not offended by the lyrics, I just find it incredible that a useless footballer gets a song because of his social media antics.
Ruining what is actually a great previous Karanka song.

He was what he is on saturday; a dumpy little waste of space who will mercifully never pull on a Boro shirt again.
