There’s something special happening here

It’s hard to put your finger on but this genuinely feels like something is building here. It may not end with promotion this season but I think that promotion is coming.

The contrast between how well we are now playing compared with just a few months ago is stark. The speed with which Wilder has fundamentally changed and improved the way we play. The results he has achieved. The never say die attitude. The buzz of going to the game. The atmosphere inside the ground.

This is the best it’s felt since those two seasons under Karanka.

It’s possible I’m getting carried away. I don’t care. Up the Boro!

I think the players now get the fans here again just like Friend, Clayton, Leadbitter etc did they bought into our mentality. We are a humble but proud football club just like our area. These new lads are buying into it you can tell by the way they are enjoying games and expressing themselves to the fans. Blackpool away I think it ignited a passion for both the players and supporters that we are all in this together. So proud today Matt Crooks come out and clapped the fans at the end there, he will be a legend at this club as he gets how we fans tick. UTB

Me too, I'm even thinking of booking the same hotel we used for the Norwich play off game. Mind you it will have to be free cancellation, I had to book 24 rooms last time. My young mate who I go to the match with said after the equaliser, "We're going to win this it's just like the promotion season". I was even cuddling a complete stranger when we scored the winner, 64 years old and still behaving like a kid, I love it.

I think your absolutely correct. Warnock put a decent group of players together and Wilder has then taken it to another level.
Not having that at all. I thought Warnock was badly let down by the recruitment department. The man said so himself. He was very sure to distance himself from it all so i dont see how he now gets the credit.

Maybe fairer and more accurate to say the much maligned recruit team have put together a decent group of players.

Just think where we might be if we had Wilder from the start of the season. Don't get me wrong, I loved Warnock but this man is levels ahead. I'm loving it at the moment and long may it continue

There is a real sense of togetherness, from RF to CW and the personalities of the players we have brought in. Fair play to Warnock as this is something he focused on, he appears to have set the groundwork perfectly.

We now have a manager who can make a team play winning cohesive football and a scouting team who can see potential and quality in players that we're not pushed to overpay for. Good times ahead 😉

Nothing wrong with that Adi

I said weeks ago on the prediction thread that I fancied top 2. We have a really good group of players but I’m with op. Something just feels right. It feels special. It’s like the Katanga promotion year but the football is better.
I honestly think that in 5 years time we will have been in the prem for 4 years.

There's some bitter/jealous mackems out there

EDIT also some envious ones too

The thing I like about Wilder is that he'll live and die by his methods in much the same way as Aitor.
Two diametrically opposite approaches to the game, but both based on an absolute belief.
I honestly think if we can get promoted and survive that important first season to guarantee funds for recruitment then he could build a fantastic side.
