How long do we give Warnock then?

We’ve been absolutely awful the entirety of 2021 so far. Does anyone know what our style of play is? I see the team sheet and I can’t even fathom what sort of formation we play and I don’t think the players know either.

Its been awful since half way through the 2016/17 season and our best player (who we signed from non-league 2 years ago) is being played out of position at LWB because we have no one else. Says it all really.

Should have gone at the end of last season, his signings have been shocking, form from January will be on par with the relegated sides and the football is embarrassing to watch. It’s just as bad as Pulis but he gets a much easier ride

These clearly aren’t his players and he won’t ever be able to get the best out of them so what are we waiting for? Act now and we might still be able to turn it around, and managers like Howe or Wilder are available

What a bunch of Chicken Lickens we've got as fans. Six games in and the sky's falling in. We've got lots of new players that will need a bit of gelling in yet many seem to think they should already be beating the best teams around. Pull yer heads in, stop panicking and get behind the lads. UTB
It’s not just six games were talking about though is it? The form since January has been shocking and we have shown nothing to suggest we can turn it around either

9 wins in 33 competitive games and played some shocking football in that time. TBF he hasn't had much time with the new signings but I'd only give him til near xmas at most

'Chicken Lickens' 🤣

Bungy you admonish posters much better than anyone else 🤣

Crazy talk. We've started the season with a depleted squad and didn't make the important signings until deadline day. Things will change over the next few weeks and I expect we'll start to see huge improvements in the next two games.

lol 1 win in 6 and played against 10 men twice. Oh and we have been painful to watch in every game. Its *****

pay attention, we've been talking about our form since January as being a complete car crash, the last six games is just a continuation of that.
Almost totally different team than January that needs a bit more time to gel. Or have you not been paying attention and think it's the same team?

All I see is lots of new faces, a manager testing players and it's not always working. Players filling in positions because of injuries etc
Overall, I've been 'entertained' more than I have been for quite a few seasons and see a little bit more energy in the team. NW is stabilising a team in crisis from when he took over, we nearly went down again for goodness sake. Any talk of playoffs is over ambitious IMO because we have seen nothing yet that would suggest that. But, ever the optimist, you just never know.
N.W has got until the end of the season, and that's it, I do hope we have some good memories by then.
As someone in a film once said, 'stop those negative waves man'.

We don't seem to be going anywhere fast but I'm not particularly surprised.

We've had huge upheaval in the squad and are stuck between a manager with an ethos that probably doesn't align with a longterm strategy the club wants to implement.

We have enough quality to do okay but I think the amount of change and the inconsistency from the players has been a factor for quite some time and it will be reflected in both our play and our overall finish.

Tav, Fry and Mcnair are our main men/saleable assets but if I'm completely honest I think they're inconsistent players themselves. They have some great games and runs of form but I'm still not convinced they provide the nucleus of a promotion challenging squad.

I think we probably overestimate the realistic quality of the squad we have, its been all over the shop for ages really.

That said, it does look better than it has for some time. Second half of last season was poor but we had some absolute bobbins players and some bad attitudes by the sounds of it.

We do now have some quality, let's see if he can figure out a team that gets the best out of that quality.

Worth mentioning Sporar and Siliki have had about 3 days of training max and are new to this country.

The players another poster mentioned earlier as having bedded in very quickly have all played their football in England at this level before. As has Hernandez who is our signing that looked most comfortable yesterday. Not a coincidence.

We will finish somewhere in the top half of the table just outside the play offs I reckon.

It hasn't all been bad though has it, we did play well against Blackburn and I thought we were getting there. Then we get rid of our MOM in that game!

Bit of common sense , thank you

I’m still annoyed at that sale.

We made the decision to stick with Warnock at the start of the campaign and most on here appeared very happy with that. It seems he is starting to lose fan backing very quickly including, surprisingly , a couple who were singing his praises not that long ago

I see little point in replacing him just yet. Not after a single game after a window that everyone seemed to think was positive. Recruitment wise.

Whatever the plan is we need to stick to it.

Neil Warnock is part of the shorter term plan and it is common knowledge that this will be his final season. I presume that other managers are being looked at and plans are being made.
The only way that I could see that plan being changed is if it looks like relegation is a possibility, which then it would be right to make a change.

Couldnt agree anyones panicking. Just stating facts that for almost 10 months, our results have been comparable to a bottom 6 side. Its not just the last six games, and last seasons poor form has carried over to this year. This is concerning as weve largely kept our best players and replaced with better than we had in most areas. Common thread is Warnock. He got us out of a sticky situation but that was over a season ago. He's always been a second rate manager and someone i personally cant take seriously becaue of his childish way of conducting himself at pitchside, questionable skills and generall being a bit of a d!ckhead with an over inflated opinion of himself.
