Israel and Palestine Conflict

They should sue for harm to their childs education. Having freedom of opinion and freedom of speech should not be curtailed. The quote clearly isn't racist and looking at this Sacha Gottlieb it would appear she is applying her political opinions to this decision and if she can't separate the two should be removed from post and disciplined. If this was my child they would be at the school gates the next day with a legal letter, and I'd be prepared to take it to the highest court in the land.
You can’t just randomly shout in a class though. Should probably have been given detention

Starmer is a tosser and really ought to have had the balls to show some solidarity with the Palestinians but he hasn't got the spine for that but where the hell is Lisa Nandy? She's supposed to be the chair of 'Labour friends of Palestine' isn't she? Maybe she has said something and I just missed it but she should be on every platform right now condemning these atrocities, surely?

Bumface, really? Making a worthless political point on the back of innocent people dying. Tell me how this is starmers doing? Tell me how he could make a difference? Then, compare that with world leaders. Sorry mate. This really annoys me.

I didn't say it was his fault Laughing. I would just expect labour to be speaking out about this awful situation and demanding sanctions at the very least. I'm not trying to pick a fight with you mate but I expect more from the labour party. They're supposed to be all about standing up for the oppressed. And if even a couple of overpaid footballers can show some solidarity with the Palestinians after the cup final yesterday then surely the chair of 'Labour friends of Palestine' should be doing a bit more?

Fair enough bumface. My issue is, and only this, why even bring starmer up? He can do nothing, not one thing. It's like some folks think 'oh good, some dead kids too beat starmer with'. Making this a labour issue is idiotic.

He has loosely commented on it. He's released a statement about the pro Palestine protesters flying about in cars in London today. Disagreed with the comments been shouted from the cars (rightly so) but not commenting on the massacre that's happening in Palestine. Same as the blue tie lot haven't said anything either.

I do kind of resent you trying to say that I'm using dead kids as an excuse to have a go at Starmer. I'm thoroughly disgusted by what's going on and with the entire International community for doing **** all about it. I naively hoped that Biden would show a bit of bottle and intervene but he hasn't of course. Think that's the second time this week that you've called me an idiot. Cheers for that.

You may resent it bumface, but it is what is happening on this thread with some folks. Rage at what is wrong, what could be done to make it right, not at what should happen at the next election to make it right.

Apparently the videos been tampered with. Reddit have took it down. Allegedly in the original video the men in the cars are just shouting "free Palestine".

Bits of this thread to me are perfectly illustrative of what's happening in politics at home. Tragically, the left (who generally care passionately about what's happening in Gaza) are tearing lumps out of each other, while the right couldn't give a f*** but inherently think it's probably the fault of the muslims.

Think that you're maybe mistaking Starmer and his supporters for 'the left' there mate.

Always roll my eyes at this sort of comment. It's hardly "playing politics", it is politics. It's not unreasonable to expect the people that put themselves up to be the leaders of political parties to comment on political issues.
No you are right, but labour are not the issue here.

The issue is the country I live in both buy and sell arms to Israel. I think they are our 6th biggest purchaser of arms. Address that first. That is the single biggest issue here. Starmer's silence on the issue, which isn't even that accurate, is so far down the list of problems as to be inconsequential. So I would rightly ask why, the first thought on peoples minds, when children are dying, is to critisize Starmer. It's absoloute nonsense. I will defend this point of view against anyone.

You may be disappointed with labous response, you may be angry at Starmer not taking the party in the way you would like it to be driven. Don't use innocent peoples lives to further that agenda, it is abhorrent, innacurate and uneccesary.
