Another disagreement that only the good people of this board can resolve

Should butter be seen on toast, my Mrs had a dig this morning because the butter could be seen on the toast (not fully melted).

After thinking about it, I'm the opposite I like to see a bit of the buttery goodness before eating and sometimes have even allowed the roast to go cold so that the butter is even more visible (she believes this is disgusting)

What is the consensus of the board, should butter be seen on toast???

What you need to do here is buy a brand of butter that is invisible to women. Or invent one. Obvious really.

Coincidentally the new Warburtons Toastie Advert has just come on the Tele. Mr Warburton is buttering his toast whilst trying to ignore a video call from George Clooney. Butter can definitely be seen in big clumps! Lovely. You can’t get a bigger endorsement for seen butter than that
.

Massive chunks of butter visible, however if marmalade or jam is also to be applied then butter should not be visible.

Hope that clears it up for you. 😀

Devastated this question even needs asking, visible butter, anyone who thinks otherwise would have been burned at the stake like its 1647 all over again 😃

If it’s to be eaten straight then has to be lumps of very visible butter all over the place.

if your treating yourself with a jam or marmalade then it doesn’t really matter.
