Second half of the season

What a strange season. The season started very well and we played some great football early on and looked defensively sound.
due to the limited senior players in the squad the team and formation picked it self. Since we went to a back 4 we have hardly created. A chance.
some of our performances have been woeful and all these wingers have done nothing. I don’t see how anyone would oay 2.5m for Bolasoe never mind £25m. Mendez Laing has done nothing. Admittedly both had not played for a while but these are allegedly professional footballers.
kebano has looked good in glimpses but inconsistent.
early in our best 2 players were McNair and Johnson looked threatening playing wing back.
warnock has to take some blame for the construction at tinkering and poor end to the season. I am rapidly losing faith having been quite optimistic after the first 10 games.
to say we need. A striker is an understatement but you could stick Aguero up there and he wouldn’t score 10 goals as we don’t create chances.
befinnjbg of the season Britt hot slated for missing the odd chance we got. Can’t remember any striker having many clear chances in the last 3 months.
Is Warnock the man to take us forward or was he here just to steady the ship.

Honestly? Is this where we are now? Bolasie and Mendez-Laing wouldn't have been here were it not for Warnock. Do you want to know what the other options were? NOBODY!! because we didn't have the money to bring players in.

Warnock has to take some blame for 'tinkering' like when he 'tinkered' Fry, Tavernier, Dijksteel, Morsy, Browne out of the squad?
'you could stick Aguero up there and he wouldn’t score 10 goals' - really?

sorry to hear that you are rapidly losing faith after thinking we were going to smash the league.. but it was never going to happen.

Warnock is the man to take us forward, AND he was brought in to steady the ship. He's done both. We are steadied and further forward.

We went backwards with the January transfers. Warnock got the wrong players and chopped and changed to no good effect. No players would have been better. Warnock was supported financially in January; he will again in August, so I'd be surprised if we don't get mid-table next season, but it's going to be dire to watch.

Mid table is what Warnock achieved this season. If he spends money and does no better then he'll be another useless ex manager.

He might have saved Boro from relegation, but the squad was so grossly mismanaged by Woodgate that it wasn't a Lazarus sized achievement.

The more I think about it, the less sense I see in Warnock staying. If he goes now, Boro might be able to find someone who, if successful, can be there for a few seasons.

We went backwards well before the January transfers.
It's been a decline since we beat Birmingham 4-1 on the 19th of December.

We lost 5 of the next 7 games and we didn't make a single outfield signing in that time.
