People under 50 getting a vaccination

My daughter had hers at the age of 26. She works as a chiropractor and treats elderly patients, the surgery arranged for all staff to be vaccinated. Sounds fair enough to me.
My son 22 is awaiting to be called, Mum is a nurse working on the covid wards. However they both came down with the virus after she had her jab in January, so he may have developed some resistance.

The other people in the queues may be called up due to working with the elderly or vulnerable. The may have vulnerable relatives at home or just may be lucky.

My cousin, who is a little younger than me (both under 50) has had hers and we go to the same GP practice.

I suspect the order that they do them in isn't an exact art, or there isn't prioritisation amongst those in the same age group?

Fit and well, not vulnerable, not frontline worker or carer or anything like that. Edit: I’m in my 40’s

Had a text 10 mins ago from my doctors in coulby inviting me to book a vaccine. Clicked the link and booking confirmed for Monday at North Ormesby hub.

Quite chuffed to be fair
Well lo and behold, having started this thread I’ve also received a text this afternoon from the same doctors to book in for a vaccine . I’m guessing not long for the general 40-50 if I’ve been asked also

Nice one. My Sister gives the vaccine there and told me today it’s the Oxford Astra Zenica one. Doesn’t bother me one bit mind but just letting you know.

48, heard nowt so far. Not particularly concerned, they’ll get round to me when they get round to me.

My son, who is 21 and has very mild asthma- never had an attack or anything, was invited to have his weeks ago via text message, and when your invited you accept.
