Robert Jenrick clearly on message

They know that red wall voters like patriotism. That’s why the Labour Party got their storeman to dust down Atlee’s Union flag the other week and stick it behind Starmer . It’s been done for years in the states. Biden permanently has the Stars and Stripes pinned to his left t*t but nobody thinks that’s odd.

Charlie Stayt and Naga Munchetty taking the **** out of Jenrick on BBC Breakfast telling him that his flag wasn't big enough :ROFLMAO:

People are noticing this Tory fixation.
That was hilarious.

Whenever Tory HQ send one of these boot licking sycophants on to peddle some misinformation the interviewer should just keep asking about the size of the flag.

See how long it takes them to stop displaying it.

That's because in the US it has always been that way. Respect and worship of the flag is ingrained into them. Its not in this country. This latest epidemic of Tory flags is just to pander to the raving nationalists who act first and think much later. They have realised that, sadly, in this country you can get away with as much corruption and lies as possible and enough people will be impressed by you then going "ooooo look, a flag, long live England!!!!"

It’s a direct message to the lefties, the wokes, the snowflakes, the BLM, the women who want to walk safely in the streets, the SNP, the EU, Harry and Meghan.....

Its divisive win-lose politics which the Tories have always been experts at.

Labour do right to mirror it, the Tories don’t own the flag of this country.

Why would a British political party left or right stop using the British flag?
In my view they are misappropriating the flag.

As the current government strip away more and more of our rights and freedoms whilst displaying the Union flag then it becomes a symbol of oppression.

Aside from that it just looks childish and ridiculous to have it in a corner of your living room/I bet Jenrick calls it a man cave. What would you think if you went to someone's house and they had a flag in the living room?

I would think it odd if it wasn’t the living room of a politician that is clearly trying to show some display of patriotism to get votes . But then I’ve walked down hundreds of suburban streets in America and almost every house has an enormous one flying outside and people would think it odd if they weren’t. Is it only us British that for some bizarre reason get in a lather at the sight of their own flag? Sturgeon does it every week and nobody gives a monkeys.

Know what you mean they just have them stuck in a drawer somewhere to bring out when Boro get to a Cup Final. Did he have his favourite team on his flag. Wolves maybe or Cambridge.

I grew up believing we lived in a civilised society, I don't like to see us lurching towards America.

Don't know about you Jim but a show of patriotism has not been top of my list to give my vote. A degree of competence and honesty are probably first and foremost. That would Jenrick out on both counts but thankfully I am not one of his constituents.

You would think it odd that a politician DOESN'T have a massive flag in his living room? I mean wow.

Come on mate, just think. Historically we haven't been a massive flag waving nation where politics has been concerned. The US always has. So thinking something is normal because it happens in a foreign country does take sense. It never happens here.

Do you not think it strange that they are riding a wave of unthinking blind nationalism? It's a real worry that people get suckered in and can ignore all the corruption just because someone waves a piece of fabric at them. Its not British (the behaviour I mean) it's embarrassing, and it's shows a small petty mindset that is ultimately damaging to this country.
