Just drove past a packed Preston Park

There is a million things I want to say to this but I can't be bothered as I'd only get abuse.

Overall as mentioned above... It didn't make a difference last year so I'm not sure what the problem is. People have been locked down and getting out is good for health in general. So going out for a walk or getting the kids out of the house is hardly "crime" of the century.

Its ridiculous isnt it, all the well I'm alright jack sat in my garden feeling holier than thou. We went to preston park this morning was busy but everyone kept their distance and moved aside on the paths. Was lovely a walk with the family and people seemed happy.

We dont have a garden should we just stick our heads out the window??

I have read somewhere, that upto two weeks after you get the jab is the most dangerous time. You think that the jab gives you immunity and so you drop your guard.
There will be lots of people who have had the jab and will want to go out. There are also a lot of people who need to get out for the good of their health. The difference between now and last summer the virus is more transmissible. As long as you can maintain a big distance from others and sanitise your hands when you touch things then you may be safe,
As has been said above we have been warned to keep obeying the rules as the virus is increasing in some areas. Foreveryones sake please dont be a part of risking the lifting of lockdown guidelines.

No evidence of any transmission at the beaches last summer. Some of you old folks ought to be more greatful for the sacrifices people have made for you rather than twitching curtains. Not everyone has a big house and garden. Try bringing up two kids in a tiny flat.
My neighbours live in a 3 bed semi with a big garden. Currently 3 cars parked outside their house and there's at least dozen people altogether in the house.

When restriction lifting is delayed I'll point them in your direction and can explain to them why.

@Borobarmy It was a light hearted miserable git. I know people who have died too and it's not nice and an awful time for everyone. Not everyone has the privilege of a garden and people need look at other peoples circumstances. Theres people other than me who need to get out and have a break from their 4 walls.

Decent point for the Boro, have a good weekend fella, sorry for you loss. UTB👍🏻

Some people are ****.. However the vast majority of the population have made huge sacrifices to protect older people. Young kids have lost a year out of their lives. People have lost livelihoods. All because of a disease that doesn't affect them.

This board is full of older people in big houses, who should be showing gratitude at the sacrifices people have made to protect them, rather than moaning.

What nonsense - you don't know the make up of the board or what peoples circumstances are.

A lot of elderly people have made sacrifices, as have a lot of people across all age ranges. Likewise a lot of people across all age ranges haven't followed the rules/made sacrifices.

100% on the money this one

I am attending a funeral next week by video link for a friend that travelled back across the world for cancer treatment and then got COVID in hospital and died in that Teesside hospital. He was separated from his wife, who had trouble getting a visa she did not finally see him until his final few hours.
The guy in question was an absolute stalwart of the music scene here for many years, the life and soul of gigs and lived for his garage, soul and alternative sounds.
Sheriff - show some respect will you please. There are 100 000 stories like this from the past 12 months.

Apart from his generalisation of this board I dont think what he said was diserspectful. I think he is just saying theres nothing wrong with kids and families going for a walk in the park or on the beach.

I think it was a pat on the back for how people are doing as asked. Maybe he can clarify

I agree and that is how I took it.

I appreciate people have died... People die everyday for a multitude of reasons... Getting on with life does not show a disrespect in any way, shape or form.
