If he didn’t come they still score. There’s no reasoning with people on here once they make up their mind about a player. The ball was out side the box and all Wells had to do was then knock it past him. You’d moan at him for that too.
How about looking at our defender losing his man on the half way line to let him in. Defensively we’ve been awful.

He literally can’t do a thing right, he is absolutely abysmal. I can’t remember a single game where we haven’t been talking about a mistake he’s made this season.
 
I think we needed something before half time. Ouch. They've been very clinical tbf.

goals are a perfect storm of 2, 3 or 4 mistakes usually. Howson losing it cheaply was the first, Dijksteel losing his footing and thus having the wrong body position to pressure Wells wide, and Betinelli's indecisiveness with Wells miscontrol ALL contributed to that goal.
 
They have been sharper all over the pitch they are first to almost everything we can't get near them. We need changes here at half time
 
Call me mad if you wish but I genuinely think we still have chance here. We can’t be that bad again and an early 2nd half goal will rattle them given the run they are on. Come on boro

What he did do is the worst of both worlds.
He couldn't smother the ball, he couldn't stop the shot from a distance.
What he did basically left an open goal for the player for no advantage.

Our defending being terrible doesn't stop him being terrible as well.

People moan at him because he's consistently woeful.

Our defending tonight has been an absolute ***show, I've never said otherwise.
