Will McNair get that red rescinded?

If not, that could be our season done. We're not great or bad as a team, but he's our best player by far, so 3 games missing will be massive for us

Not that I think we'll make the PO's now, but no chance without Paddy

Not sure about season done but he’d be a massive loss, especially as would be 3 games I think. Fry is back on Saturday, but we need Paddy too.

Not a cat in hells chance of it being rescinded, in my opinion.

Will be over the moon if they do but I'd be surprised if we even appeal it once they've viewed the footage.

It wasn’t a red, but I doubt it will be rescinded. He went to ground, so that’s enough for them to justify supporting the ref.

Now that Hall is back and Fry should be back for Saturday then the back three picks themselves -- only issue is we don't really have a centreback sub. If Fry and Hall form a good partnership then perhaps McNair can be moved into midfield.

wasn't even a foul, let alone a red. won the ball very clearly

That's old school thinking, it doesn't matter if you win the ball or not now, if it is deemed you did so recklessly and in doing so endangered an opponent.

I thought it was a robust challenge and I'd prefer it if we still had the old school rules but unfortunately I don't think we'll get it rescinded for the aforementioned reason.

No chance , no intent but studs up and it wasn’t but it could have been dangerous . Once upon a time no problem , but these days tut tut.

btw - it was the linesman who gave it and I’m getting to think the reason we’re getting nothing is that NW gives the officials such a torrid time all game.

We love him and he isn’t going to change at 72 but he does himself or the club no favours . These guys are humans and they’re bound to think ‘ I’m a **** am I . here you go sunshine have a bit of this ’ .

Nope, soon as I saw it in real time I thought he was off.

Studs up is the key and although some of us older fans will plead about how good a tackle it was and the games gone soft etc, by the letter of the new laws it will be classed as reckless and upheld.

Big blow for us.

Having seen some of the images since the game as much as I think it’s harsh there is no way they will rescind it in my opinion. Hope I’m wrong. Sounds like Fry may be ready to start so imagine he will slot in but we do lose something with McNairs ability to bring the ball out. Thought he was class last night.
