Posted a great record of his, IMHO mind

A question someone once told me, did he write more No1's than he had hits?

Yes. Never had a number 1 single in UK or USA.

Byrds - Mr Tambourine Man

I can't listen to anything he's written beyond desire or blood in the tracks. It's just too glimmering and polished. Other than time out of mind where the quality of the songwriting shines through. I think the 80s did for a lot of writers from the 60s and 70s. Whether that was age or the advent of the synth I don't know.

I think most artists in all media (with notable exceptions) produce their best work in the first flush of creativity. Blood on the Tracks is my favourite LP, but that may have as much to do with what was happening in my life around that time.

I love middle era Dylan, Infidels, Oh Mercy and Good as I Been to You are great. Also like his more recent stuff, Tempest was a phenomenal album in a similar vain to his new song.

Make You Feel My Love by Adele was written by Bob Dylan IIRC.

Great musician and undoubtedly one of the all time musical greats.

For the obsessed I'd highly recommend "the cutting edge" (deluxe version) - essentially every studio take recorded for Bringing it all back home, Highway 61 and Blonde on Blonde.

To say he was on a creative hot streak here is an understatement and listening to the versions evolve over time is pretty incredible.
