Yep That’s the one.2. Sunderland at the Stadium of Light. 2-2. 90th minute. Sunderland have a corner, they swing it in and Jones comes out, looks favourite for the ball but somehow the Sunlun player gets to it first and heads it in for a 3-2 winner. The next day every paper shows a picture that shows why. Jones decided to come for the ball with his eyes shut. Maybe he thought he'd get a whack but no excuse. It was criminal.

Brad Jones was a calamity and the poorest keeper I have seen. The amateur mistakes he made were unforgivable. Two examples:
1. Nuneaton home in the cup. A long ball forward by Nuneaton, Jones comes racing out of his area and totally misjudges the bounce of the ball and sees it bounce over him and leaves the striker with an open goal tap in. Jones looks a complete fool and an embarrassment so you would think he would learn his lesson.
No, a couple months later Everton rock up to the Riverside towards the end of the season and the same happens again. Memory could be wrong but I'm certain it was in the 90th minute and we get beat 1-0. Shocking it could happen twice.
