The Post boasted Trees have brought in 14 [fourteen] players this season and have their eye on 4 more in the new year!
21st place and 2 points above Wycombe right now.
They`ve score 5 fewer goals than us [!!!] ....
Hope Chris Houghton hasnt sold his house down south.....

They have a lot of fans and do good numbers worldwide to this day despite decades of decline
I hope they turn it round. Had a soft spot for them in the late 1960s when I adopted them (Ian Storey-Moore, Henry Newton, Terry Hennessy, Sammy Chapman et. al.) as my favourite First Division team. We were all Boro fans at school but you had to have a favourite First Division team as we were in the Second Division and I wanted to be different from the Man U, Leeds (yes, believe it or not), Arsenal etc which most others picked. Been my local team as fate would have it for the last 24 years so watch them quite a bit and like to see them do well when they're not playing the Boro. Good club with good fans, with some of the wittiest chants I've heard at matches. And to be fair, most of the younger fans get fed up of the older ones going on about the glory days under Cloughie. But it's also fun to remind older Forest-supporting friends of the home town of their greatest ever manager! So I'd like to see them pick it up. Now Derby on the other hand...........

Magpie fans are the hardiest of the supporters in Nottingham, closely followed by Basford United in the Northern Premier League.
Forest are a very badly run club who spend more time sacking managers and publishing pretty pictures of their proposed "Premier" new Stadia, than getting it right on the pitch.

They have a squad almost twice the size of the Boro and last season was the closest they got for years to a sniff at the top flight.
Forest have been living on history and stagnating for years - which probably says more about football in general than just them.

You have to be heading for 50 to remember them winning in Europe.

The only success Nottingham has had in recent years was when the Nottingham Panthers won the Continental Cup against all the odds in 2016/17 season. The only British Ice Hockey Team ever to win a European Trophy(y) It was a league - not just a knock out. The matches against Bern and Zurich were incredible.

Slightly off topic theyve spent the last 13 years in the championship and 18 of the last 21 (3 in league one)

Im currently trying to work out which teams have stayed in their current league the longest.

Derby have also spent 13 consecutive seasons in the championship (and 18 out of 21 seasons from 2000/01)

Preston 17 out of 21

Previous to that before being relegated ipswich had spent 17 seasons in-a-row in the championship (2002/03 - 2018/19)

Look no further than Arsenal. 102 years and counting in the top flight.

Yeovil - wasn’t that long ago. We had a good away victory last game of the season about 6-7 years ago.
Wow 7 years ago, we won 4-1, absolutely crazy to think it's that long ago & gone in a blink of an eye, if I'm lucky I'll be drawing my state pension in 7 years, so quick

When you look at a club that's going through umpteen managers, whilst having what looks like a decent squad but experiencing repeated failure, then there's a deeper rooted problem. Who knows?

Neil Maddison said before our home game with them that it would be our biggest test so far. Good squad, good manager. (Didn't agree with him, and was slightly surprised by his comment) Wasn't an easy game but nevertheless we won.

Agreed.
They have had owners whose motives have been "questionable" - who have thrown money at the club, sacked managers , with a continually revolving door of player ins and outs. They do have a decent fan base and want success [like any footi fan] - but expectations are high. Unless they get the kind of owners who have supported the likes of near neighbours Leicester City I dont think they will be going anywhere soon.

Us Boro fans have rightly raised questions about our managerial appointments, but just look at the list of Managers in the last 20 years at Forest!

Not even someone with a magic wand has a hope in hell of building a decent consistent team with that turmoil!

We should be very grateful for Steve Gibson and be careful what we wish for(y)

They havent had a decent team since the days of collymore, roy and van hooijdonk were banging the goals in
