Any businesses you wouldn't mind see going under?

Pubs, restaurants or retail, etc?

Wouldn't mind Gordon Ramsay's takeaway going under. He's charging £18.50 for a battered fish and 7 chips 😆

If it went under I doubt dear Gordon would suffer much but the ordinary folk who work there certainly would so it's a no from me.(n)

Comes with the rider of not wishing anyone on the dole obviously, especially not at this time of year or in the current circumstances. But I cannot stand Tim Martin of Wetherspoons or his awful business.

That aside, the awful financial markets in London, the whole trading systems and banking, and the bending of our entire nation to the fripperies of their will, is a cancer on our society.

Online Bingo companies that advertise on daytime TV to bored lonely housewives, making out it’s some sort of life changing social group that they are joining, that get together for camping trips and fun days out etc.
It’s not. It’s gambling and gambling can destroy the lives of bored lonely people.

Same goes for online casinos advertising late at night to pick up drunk lads when they get in from the pub.
It’s disgusting and should be illegal.

Aye and there’s the rub. You can’t wish any business to go under and thereby wish people to lose their jobs just because the owner is a complete t@@t?

I get it with morally indefensible businesses like payday loan companies. Online casinos I can lump in that group too.

I definitely wouldn't want to see any 'go under' purely due to job cuts. These times are bad enough and unpredictable😕

That said I currently have nothing but pure hatred for SSE. I had a smart meter fitted in August and its still not sending readings to them. I've sp*nked over £30 in phone calls and 5 emails (4 not answered) and still not working. It's basically a kitchen 'orniment'.....think I'm going off on a tangent 😂

So maybe can the person directly responsible for not sorting this issue. So far it's upto roughly 6 who I've spoke too👍

As previously stated we wouldn't want to see job losses... but if the staff could all be re-employed in 'nice' companies I would like to see Wetherspoons and betting companies go under. Also it would be lovely for Tim Martin to lose all his fortune and have to work behind a bar somewhere himself.

WH Smith. Dreadful outdated shabby shops selling stuff that can be bought much cheaper elsewhere. a business model only Kept afloat by ripping off commuters at airports and train stations. I’ve not bought anything in one since the turn of the millennium.

(with apologies to anyone who works for them)

Unfortunately when a company goes under invariably it is the everyday worker who suffers and the suppliers to the company. I have been on the wrong end of this losing the neck end of 150,000, OK admitly a fair portion can be written off as a tax loss but it doesn't alter the fact that the owner(s) of the company that goes under walks away virtually unscathed.

Who is the meter manufacturer ?

smart meters are mad and the kitchen gadget is just that, yes it tells you (or should) what your usage and bill is but does it really stop you putting the kettel on? They should be so much easier to use as well so you the consumer can enter the tariff you are on if it does not alter automatically.

As regards companies going to the wall, pay day loan companies with their crazy interest rates, although if they could be capped that would be so much better., even credit cards are advertized saying re-build your credit score with us with massive intertest rates.
The rent to buy type shops, cannot remember the one thats gione bust but again but your washing machine over 3-5 years stupid interest rates 80% plus, and no sooner bought than probably broken.
Sadly it is the worse off who often have to use these sorts of shops, surely we could have a systerm where those on benifits have it taken out directly from their money, the "system" sourcing the items at a good price and no interest being charged to the person on benifits?

Is it Germany that has a cap on the maximum interest rate than can be charged?

I would also like to see gas, electricity and water back in the state hands, three vital supplies we all need and as a civilized country should be run for the benifit of us all.

Sorry to hear that yes you are right the owners usually end up unscathed

As mentioned by others i really wouldn’t wish losing their job on anyone. I just can’t believe with retail being on its knees that
WH Smith haven’t gone under I’m being honest. Crap shop!!
