He had a rather strange stature and playing style. That said he had a few tricks about him.

I actually think Nemeth was more under rated and gets less credit. I remember he looked class every time he came off the bench. He was never a regular but was a great impact player who gave me a 'buzz' when he came on👍

My favourite Nemth goal was in this game, i always thought he was decent enough. Job also scoring here.

 
I was in Cyprus , recovering a broken down Harrier jet when he scored that goal against SL. I was the only Boro fan in the pub and nearly tore the roof off on my own.
 
Will always have the greatest song ever.
I always think of him like Mickel Beck , really good players but a little over shadowed.

I really liked him . The way he won the penalty in th Cup final was brilliant. Made Emerson thome think he was going to take the ball on his left foot and switched at the last second to the right foot causing him to have to go right through Job to try and win the ball. Absolutely brilliant stuff.

Did he not step into the team in the hole, because Juninho got injured and then did really well? You would never have thought he was a player to pick a pass/through ball but it really worked for a while.

Yes, He had a spell of a few months where he was absolutely awesome. Not exactly prolific most of the rest of the time.

Rightly overshadowed by players like Viduka and JFH who came later. But scored a few gems and should be regarded as a club legend for his league cup final goal & winning the penalty.

Fjortoft is in there surely? Not sure Armstrong is. Only scored one premier league goal for us.

Noel Whelan is well down the list, if on it at all. His best spell was playing on the left.

Aliadiere and Fjortoft in, Whelan and Armstrong out (for me anyway). Potentially worth a thread of its own.

That’s the game that I think of when his name is mentioned, we were 3-1 up I went to the toilets in the pub for a pee, came back out it was 3-3, I was so peed off!
