Astonishing how Warnock can make us look like a good team

With such an average bunch of players .
Just think what he could have done in the past with some of our squads with a lot more quality.
Mind blowing

Obviously not tat astonishing
that was the best performance I have seen from a Boro team in a long time. Years.
I really, really enjoyed it. Every player putting in a proper shift. We didnt take our chances because of our shortage of goal scorers.
It was superb. Warnock has already done a fantastic job.
We will forgive most things from the Boro if we see effort. Not one of those lads left anything on the pitch and we cant ask for more than that.

I was beaming and proud listening to the commentators noticing all of the tracking back by Tavernier; britt clearing crosses; lots of references to effort. We really did batter them 0-0. If Blackburn stay up/scrape into the play-offs, tonights point for them was very, very lucky.
Confidence is growing and its fantastic to see.
Proud of my team.

Jesus, when was the last time I thought that!!! :D

we look genuine promotion candidates after that performance -- if the lads can start to put away some of the chances we'll definitely have a shot at the top three.

Even more when you think this team was more than likely to be relegated just a few months ago. After the Swansea game last season I was sure we were gone. It would have been devastating for the club had we gone down and likely taken years to recover.
To go from that to putting in these kind of performances is nothing short of a miracle

Close to 50% win ratio today that’s 69 points if maintained .
I expected Roberts to come on but perhaps Warnock is trying to maintain the squad so we can be more consistent over the season and avoid injuries

I’m really pleased with the team and Warnock is doing a great job, we look very solid.

However had no plan B tonight and Roberts should have been on with 30 mins to go. Tactically we got it wrong today, we had much better players but not the right system, it’s an away win lost. We could have played for hours and we wouldn’t have a scored despite being by far the better team. We managed 3 shots on target despite playing a struggling Blackburn reserve side. We knew the keeper was suspect and we should have been putting crosses in around the 6 year box where his indecision would have got the better of him.

Ultimately if you want stay in the top 6 you should have enough about you to be turning over teams 3-0, we don’t have that in our locker yet like the rest of the top 10 (barring Millwall). Britt & Sav don’t have the finesse in the final third and either do Tav, Spence or Coulson who are only kids.

We look a really great solid team but we need a lot more to last the distance, it’s just such a shame the finances aren’t there for Warnock at the moment.

100% agree, good post 👍

Warnock has the players working as a team and his coaching and tactics has them organised very well.

I thought his answer to the players not taking the knee was telling. He mentioned the work done in the community and he just let the players decide. That's fantastic leadership.

totally disagree with all of that ; you're most certainly a glass half empty chap.

It's interesting that out of the starting line up last night, all 10 outfield players were on Boro's books last season.

So it tells us -

1. Warnock is getting far more out of the squad than the previous managers
2. Whatever money has been spent on new players in the summer hasn't been entirely successful. They are either injured or not deemed worthy of a start
3. The big problem from the last few seasons - lack of goals - still exists, and Warnock isn't any closer to solving it than he was in July

Is the truth that the squad was never as bad as it looked under JW and isn't as good as it looks under NW?

I think it's a mistake to think performances under JW were somehow "the normal" for these player; it was well below. NW is undoubtedly getting more than normal out of them.
