Well it looks like Tony Pulis could have been right after all

He didn't fancy Mcnair and he signed him😂. Also Woodys Bola and Dijksteel doing well.

It looks like a decent manager is turning around the fortune of a few players. He's maybe just installed a bit of belief and confidence. I think also maybe no fans has helped these players come back into the side.

Whilst on the subject of Pulis - if the way we set up today was under his management would there be lynch mobs waiting for the team coaches arrival back home tonight?

Did pulis have lunch mobs waiting for him when he got back from away games?

Saville is a good midfielder £8m tho.. £4m/£5m yes
Flint is a good defender £7m tho.. £3m/£4m yes
Hugill on a £2m a season loan no way £1m maybe £500k more realistic

It’s tho whole thing about paying TWICE as much as everyone else for players.

No because warnock is using what he has with much more effectiveness and he really really wants to attack
Big difference

Not sure what point you're trying to make? Are you suggesting Pulis was responsible for negotiating the transfer/loan fees?

I've only seen sporadic evidence so far that Warnock wants to play attacking football. Not that that particularly concerns me at this moment in time.
We're 13th in the table, whether thats using his players more effectively is debatable. Lets not get Pulis' achievements mixed up with those of Woodgate.

I think he’s trying to say that we always have been ripped off with Transfer fees.
If players had been signed for their true values, instead of extortionate rates we would maybe give them a bit more leeway.
As an example, I bet Morsy will never get any stick like Saville has suffered because of his fee.

Obviously, we know the players don’t set their own transfer fees so it is really quite unfair to even mention it.

However, somebody needs to be taken to task for the ridiculous fee’s payed for some the the current squad.

None will realise the outlay paid when they are transferred , and I say transferred because the individuals I speak of, we will get nothing for them.

Dont forget according to Gibson Pulis had a much wider remit than most coaches/managers. Review of the club top to bottom or something like that wasn't it? While he's not going to negotiate the fees himself I'm sure he'll have been advising on whether we should go ahead with the signings and whether the players are worth it.

Also didn't he have a few digs at Monk for his spending? Repeatedly talked about "being careful with Steve's money" and he's certainly tried to take credit for "cutting costs" and some of the player sales.

Which all suggests he was very much in control of incomings and outgoings.

Every club in the country have overpaid for players. Look at Ferguson's history with keepers, Fulham paid £11m for a lad called Marlet sold him 2 years later fir £0, Sutton's 3 goals for Chelsea £12m ........
I doubt 50% of transfers are a success.

What 433 with two wide players , and 2 actual full backs at full back and 3 midfielders playing midfield. Don’t think anyone would of moaned at that.
4-3-3? 4-5-1 with the 2 wide lads getting forward when circumstances permit. It's our most defensive formation.(y)
