I better many people who vote leave want this too, talk about cake and eat it, and there are many worse things to come. This is what you voted for, you'll just have to get on with it and enjoy your Brexit and a blue passport with a worse deal then what we had with the benefits of being a member, but yes ok you got your way, we can keep out those foreigners who were to blame of all our problems.

Surely Johnny Foreigner will cower in awe at the mere sight of our magnificent blue passports and allow us into their shidthole countries lest we send forth a battleship to teach them the error of their ways?

Have I starched my upper lip for nought?

It's such a shame poor people from Labour heartlands voted for it. The sooner we take the vote off them the better.

After all they were decent when the voted Labour all their lives, then racist, think as mince gammons and soon to be decent again when they return to Labour.

There aren't any poor people in Labour heartlands. They're all rolling in clover with the leveling up by this nice Tory government.

Haha... summed up nicely

People had a right to vote which ever way they chose, that not an issue for me as much as I might disagree. I just don't think we as a country or those who vote to leave can expect to retain some of the very privileges they rejected as being a member of the EU.

My personal feelings, not that they have any particular validity, is that many people who voted to leave were worried or concerned about people from some EU countries living and working here and having a negative impact on the country, when the actual facts speak the opposite, just an opinion and something which I find very sad. Me first and country first attitudes and policies, never really end well, we are connected and part of a chain across people and lands but for some reason we want to become more self centered.

Coops laughing at the poor? About right.

Yeah cause that post was clearly about the poor 🤷‍♂️ Or do you mean poor former labour voters who get lambasted over and over on here? As that was the post related too?

Th ex labour voters weren't all decent, some were/are ar$eholes who just voted labour before because it's all they know or they were duped to think some doctor form Turkey was going to join the EU and then come and steal their job. The good thing is there are are a lot more, a lot nicer people voting labour too, some voting labour with even less, people trying to just work their nuts off or in a bad situation beyond their control, they're nowhere near the same.

It's the same way I know some Tories that are alright, but they're just gullible, stupid or both. They just vote Tory as they think they've "made it" as they've gone from earning 20k a year to 30k a year, or got a 4 bed house in Ingleby on a 35 year mortgage. They have absolutely zero idea that the Tories are not looking out for them, they're 200 miles and 50k+ a year from the Tory radars.

People can vote in line with you, but have completely different ideas (or be *****), it depends whether their priority is themselves, others, their wallet, their area, their health, the collective good etc. The same way people can vote for something that can cause them, their family and their mates great harm, and they don't even know it.

There's loads that have recently appeared and gone down the Tory or Far Right rabbit hole since brexit came about, it's reared a real ugly head, and most people I speak to think it's basic closet xenophobia, which is in higher numbers than must expect or will admit.
Labour either need to get them back (if they want them back) or wait until they just die off or get bread out. Either way though they will eventually go though, as the rest of the world is becoming more and more integrated and diverse each year. We're one of the few going backwards. Hopefully Trump will get booted out, and the USA can go back to listening to experts again, then maybe we will follow.

There won’t be anyone flying or travelling when the economic damage is done from Covid and the lockdowns and restrictions anyway.

Spent 6 months stressing about my job, being told I’m getting made redundant every day etc. We all took a 5% pay cut negotiated by the union and still some of my colleagues and friends lost their jobs, then 22 days after our pay cut kicked in we had a email today to say they have to make more redundancies. Stressed would be a understatement.

Sorry to hear that UKLL. You're right though, this is the start of an absolutely massive slide, which will only get worse in the new year. Hope you keep your job (y)

Someone else waiting for people to die. I find it appalling.
