We are lacking so much pace and invention

We seem to be having some joy with the cutback or ball to the back post. Akpom getting across his man a couple of times and unlucky to not score. Fry should of at least worked the keeper a minute ago with that deep cross.
 
TBF I don’t think we are that bad to watch, plenty of possession and we usually do create a few chances over the course of a game. Solid and organised is probably the best compliment you can pay us though. Not sure you can really blame Warnock, all the players he has brought in look good, it’s just we needed more to challenge but its a pandemic and we have no money. I’ll just be happy to not even flirt with relegation this year and have a few good wins tbh, we were definitely going down last year with Woodgate in charge. Don’t think we are far away from being a decent side, just need a couple of players who can offer a spark and have some pace. Next season will be fun but not looking forward to the club having to sign 3 strikers especially with the dilly dallying we do in the transfer market. Maybe the club should see this as an opportunity to pick up a striker now on a free who probably wouldn’t be available otherwise, if there is someone they like and think can do a job give them a 2 year deal whilst the price is right.
 
Need players capable of running with the ball and committing defenders, Coulson would be ideal imo of those currently at the club to play along with Roberts.
 
A consolation is that with this Bristol City being top of the league with maximum points, there must be some awful teams about.
 
I'm not sure we should be holding Bristol in any great esteem. They won't be at the top in a few weeks.

We should be having a go at them.
