That said from what I've seen a police officer riot training envolves standing and doing nothing whilst people throw things at you. Absolutely shocking that they can't pile in with batons.

Yeah it’s a coincidence. All policing skills/training are renewed periodically, I.e annually/ 3 yearly etc
She’s a Sergeant. Find the idea of rioters getting training amusing though.

This course has been delivered in South Bank for years with a high pass rate. Candidates must be able to break a window with a thousand stones from 2 yards.What does being a Rioter training envolve?

I'm beginning to think that they actually want riots. Gives them a chance to relive their halcyon days of the miners' strike and Peterloo, while nailing the plebs back down to the floor where they belong.
