I hate the modern world

In 1918?. If you watched David Walliams on Who Do You Think You Are Last Night and how they treated his great great grandfather when he came back from the trenches with shell shock I’m not sure there was much “respect” around that time.
Too right. You wouldn’t have wanted to have been around in 1918 without money

I catch where you're coming from Scub . Its mega me,me,me these days and sod everyone else 😔
Is it not the case, though, possibly, that it was always me, me, me and its indeed our own perspective on that that is changing as we see the consequences more? Exemplified by the power of social media/news etc.

Just from a personal angle I too grew up 60s and 70s in a street house in the Boro .
We had bare minimum along with all neighbours and everyone else yet I never wanted more as I was content .
Greed started courtesy Thatcher and co .
Just remember Harry Enfield and ' loadsa money ' caricature!
Blimey we could discuss this deeply for days

Did Thatcher invent it though? Or was she a symptom of it?
