Middlesbrough Lockdown Confirmed

again, i understand your point, but I think we all want this over and done with (as best as is possible) as soon as we can. i'll be honest, i'm not too precious about laws being passed in this manner in relation to C-19 (i certainly to not advocate this in other matters) simply because it is a means to an end. If i'm told to wear a mask i'll wear one, if i'm told i cant meet in my parents house i wont go, if i'm told not to mix indoors with mates, so be it. i just want the whole sodding thing finished. STAT!
And when will it be finished?

When they tell you it has finished.

when infections are reduced to a number that means there is zero chance of the NHS being overwhelmed. Yes, that will be when they tell us - can you offer an alternative means of setting the parameters? I dont think I can

The NHS is, depending on your definition, always "overwhelmed" in reality. The "chance" of that happening can always be there.

So people will just blindly follow what they say instead of realising how ludicrous it is.

The only alternative is to stand up and refuse rule by decree. Fight for a return to democracy.

Only recommends no sporting events doesn't it? Northern League games still going on

There aren't any Northern League grounds in Middlesbrough or Hartlepool.

Are the players who live in Middlesbrough and Hartlepool allowed to travel to where the grounds are to play?

Non essential?

You are wrong I’m afraid. It would be illegal for you to meet him in his garden ( not just advised against) and you could be fined if you did.

Also, you won’t be able to arrange to meet him in the Cross either. Of course, if you both happened to be there at the same time (sat separately)...
Yes we have been in discussion since and that is what we concluded unfortunately.

Some really selfish people about. This government are a shambles, but if people had done what they were supposed to do in the first place we wouldn't be going through this again now.

Hang on a second, what do you know about my families personal circumstances ?
Absolutely nothing and it's fair to say the Grandparents have said they want to and said they wouldn't go through what they did at the start of the lockdown i.e. not seeing their grandkids for a lengthy period of time.

I've followed the rules religiously and use common sense in all circumstances as requested by the authorities but this rule/law if it is implemented is a load of rubbish.

I know nothing about them, but you've just admitted that you and your family are going to ingore the restrictions. If everyone behaved the same, we'd be in this for a lot longer.
