I notice that it's possible to sponsor a Middlesbrough player for around £750.
As a board could we do it?
The signed picture etc could be either raffled off or maybe won via a random draw.
If enough of us chipped-in it could be both affordable and viable.
I think it could be a fun, mild distraction from the ills of the year.
Any thoughts?

Best getting in quick & getting someone decent.

£900/75 = £12 each.

I'll contribute, but it'll need someone (@rob_fmttm?) to co-ordinate. Perhaps pinning a post is a start to publicise it?

We could all send Rob the £12 and when we get enough he sponsors the player
 
Sponsor a player to do what? Where does the money go?
Players salaries are already hugely inflated compared to normality and I have put enough into the club already so I don't think I willing to take this offer up.
 
Ideally I would like the club to open up season ticket sales for those, like me, that would accept the likelihood of not even getting in. Failing that, a streaming season ticket for home matches. If the money for sponsoring a player goes to the club and thats the only option for helping out then a fmttm syndicate would also be an option. I vote for Marv. Maybe not the Left back or Left winger people want, but gives 100% of what he has.

In seriousness, not a bad idea if it gets to the stage where it is a necessity.
 
I dont get why 'we' would want to do this. It could be a good form of advertising, but what are you wanting to advertise?

I think that its just a vanity project with no goal tbh!
