Yes or no?

Yes for photography and morbid intrigue, absolutely 100% no for eating. Been going to places with potential for fly agarics over the past week or so. Seems to be the perfect time for them, seen loads, even big groups of them. Disgusting but fascinating. 🍄

was out walking in chopwell woods last week and there were a few people out foraging, loads of them all over the place, proper big 'uns too.

edit - cant eat them though, way too 'slimey'

The best mushrooms I've ever seen were at Hamsterley forest. I never knew they could be so big, I found an area that looked like a scene out of a childrens book.

Within an hour of having a mushroom ( that I love!) I can feel the tingling of gout. A portion would bring on a full bout. I just avoid them totally.
Before I developed gout I once had the pleasure of a plate of village mushrooms in Greece, My dreams where the most vivid If ever had, like Fantasia in full on Technicolour.
Just a memory now.

No. I think they're the one's that make you bleed out of your eyes if you eat them :p
I've been looking them up on YouTube and apparently they are safe to consume, providing you go through certain detoxifying procedures with them. There's also a video of a shamanic guy munching on one straight from the ground, although that's definitely NOT recommended. Yuck!
