Personally I rate him very highly, with his best years ahead of him and hopefully he will remain at Boro for a long time. I was reading a tweet from the fulham chairman stating they have been looking for centrebacks and a couple of their targets got covid. I dug up this article and wondered if the club are thinking of cashing in to fund the rebuild.

Everybody has their price. Warnock has hinted as much, but whether he lets Fry go is anyones guess.

I still think he has something to offer. If he can recapture his form from when he first broke into the first team, he'll have a great deal to offer.

He's decent enough and clearly had a knock of confidence in a cr*p side last season. We ain't overly stocked at CB so we would need to find replacements ASAP (based on how many we've missed out on suggests that's not a giver).

I would have said 10-15 2 years ago when Burnley wanted him. I would probably say 5-10 now over a structured deal and add ons.

That said really don't see a move to Fulham doing him and his confidence any good. They are cannon fodder and woeful at the back. I'm not even sure he's a CB Fulham would want?

Looking at them they need an old experienced hard man / leader.

That said anywhere near 10mil and add ons. He will be off.

If we have any thought at all of going up we need to keep him , I doubt his value right now will help us I much at all if we sold unless of course we’re content with the second Division

Fry is nowhere near Fulhams level, feel that if he was to make that move now it would destroy his career

I like Fry and I think under the right management he could be a great player for us, often notice his lack of composure on the ball and I think it really costs us, lost count of the amount of times that he will just stick the ball out for a throw or corner when he could just take a touch and go back to another CB/keeper. Just puts an already nervous defence under even more needless pressure

More a sign of a lack of confidence than ability though. I think he has a lot of potential. That said though I agree that for the right price you could bring in a couple of players who are ready now which is what we need.

He is not ready at the moment to play in the Premiership. Fulham needs players now. I am surprised they didn't try and get Ben Gibson. I would have thought £7.5m would have got him.

I just can't see why any player would look at Fulham as a good move. Ok other than money and a chance maybe yo put yourself in the shop window.

I've seen them twice on TV and you'd wonder where a point will come. Look like conceding from every attack.

It really wouldn't be a great move for a young CB. I wouldnt say the same about Burnley. They are pretty well established and Dyche does get the best out of young champo players (stand fast Gibson😉)

I'm a fan of Fry. Very good centre half at this level with bags of potential and still very young for a centre half. I'd let him go for £20 mil though. That kind of money and this point in time could be invaluable.

Can't believe people are throwing around figures of 10-20 mil for Fry, he was absolute toilet last season. Scary amount of goals he was at fault for.

Good half hour against QPR doesn't change anything, but it seems to have changed the minds of a lot of people on here and the Gazette.

Rightly out of the team when Hall was fit, Warnock could see right through him thankfully.

This Fulham Chairman who tweeted his apologies to his fans and says they will strengthen their defence. Well they are just about to take on winger Adebola Lookman on loan. Lookman! Do these owners know what they are doing?

I think a lot of people can see through the issues we've had a club and look beyond a temporary, below par season for Fry. He's 22, still young with a lot to learn but he's english (which brings a premium with it these days) and has suitors from the Premier League. So he's clearly got something a lot of clubs at a higher level have recognised.

The lad has had his confidence knocked and / or hasn’t been in great form recently.

How could go on to be a championship regular, or if his confidence / form recovers a premier league player.

Either way he is worth keeping unless someone comes in who feels he is going to be a premier league player and offers us the kind of money those players are worth.

Or a sum that is not far off and Warnock feels it’s the kind of money he can work his magic with to make significant improvements across the team as a whole.

I have no confidence in him, he gets bullied by physical strikers, he’s not a great organiser or communicator, I watch him and half expect a mistake. He hasn’t kicked on since Charlton in our promotion season. If he’s starting every game we are conceding a lot of goals.
