I seem to recall a recent Swiss referendum was called null and void by the government after discovering voters were influenced by lies.
Maybe their politicians aren’t as honest as ours :eek:
 
The thing is we had kind of confirmatory vote, it was the general election.

the conservative manifesto was basically Brexit.

The electorate grabbed the opportunity with open arms, they ignored every Tory failing of the last decade to get the Brexit dream.

im totally against Brexit, but as a whole, the country wanted it, giving Labour a massive F@ck off despite the significant in roads made in the election before that.

Thats correct !! Just tell the masses lies often enough (and boy did they manage that) and usually the majority will believe it...

More people voted for Parties that were Pro 2nd Referendum than the Pro-Brexit Parties.
 
Loads of Tories wouldn't switch sides and vote Labour just to stop Brexit, not even if brexit was 100 times worse. They might be daft enough to sacrifice the economy and give the worse off a kicking, but they will never vote to pay more tax or for more socialist policies, no matter what. The last thing they want is equilibrium. End of the day even if (when) the economy does take a kicking, a lot of the original Tories will still have the money to ride it out. A lot of them will have enough money to prey further on the weak, so there's not going to be many losers there, but quite a few "winners".

Loads of labour voters switched to vote Tory to get brexit through, but they're the real turkeys, they voted for Christmas and then asked the oven to be turned to extra hot.

What is crazy though, is there's a second batch of Turkeys, who switched from Labour to Tory over the past few years, when they started earning 30, 40k, 50k etc, and think they have "made it". They genuinely think they're who the Tories are trying to look after, it's laughable. This lot won't go back to labour as they they think they're elite :LOL:.

Pointless for at least 10 years as the EU won't want us back as a full member. Best we can hope for is a referendum on EFTA/EEA membership in the Labour Manifesto at the next election.
