Netflix barrel scrapings

Any recomendations amongst the more obscure corners of netflix ?

Devil all the time. Stephen King"ish" winding tail of multiple characters all intertwined. A Good watch.

Riphagen. True dramatised story of a Dutch Nazi/ Criminal. Again a goid watch. If nothing else covid has convinced my wife that subtitled films are worth watching.

PBS. Awful lot of dross with some gems. The serial documentaries on vietnam and " the west" were superb.

As a bit of fun " fall from grace" is as bad ( hopefully) as drama can get. Worth watching for its appauling script, acting and story line. Obvious rubbish from 5 minutes in but it just gets worse and worse.
Ant recomendations appreciated

I was finding Netflix a waste of time so cancelled it, now I’m back in the UK for the time being Sky is much better for series and films. Netflix isn’t as prolific at putting up new stuff as it once was and the quality control for documentaries seems to be no existent.

Film called Hurricane (not the boxing one). Very good true story about Poles flying with the RAF in WWII, featuring the delightful Stefanie Martini (of Prime Suspect 1973 fame). Very sexy woman. Nicely made film given the budget.

Is Ratched the 'One Flew Over The Cuckoo's Nest' spin-off?

Bloody hell, how did I not put those two together haha. I had to google to see why it would be a spin-off (other than it being set in a mental asylum, obviously), and it completely passed my by that she would be the same nurse.

One of my favourite films that as well, so will probably enjoy it even more now.

To answer your question, yeah, Nurse Mildred Ratched.

Oh, they promote **** quite happily, " Fall from grace " was emailed to my wife. It was so bad it became a comedy, wondering how bad the next " twist" will be.

Criminal: UK ( Netflix )

Challenger ( Netflix ) was also a good watch about the space shuttle that exploded

Ratched ( SKY Atlantic ) was great, really enjoyed that

Im watching ratched now after finishing cobra kai (which was the best thing ever on netflix)

After mooching around for something I watched Ragnarok - it is a foreign made series of a Norse legend (as you might imagine from the title and the image depicting the series) but it is a different / modern slant and is an enjoyable unfolding of events.

I also watched a film called 'Mortal' which I was told was shown on Netflix but couldn't find it there - it was available online tho so watched it there - same legend but another take - a bit more gory and a predictable ending (well for me) but I thought it was a decent watch on a fairly wild and wet night a week or so ago.

Siege of jadotsville. For all the ex squadis and an insight to modern history.
UN **** up in the Congo 1961 involving the Irish army. Well worth watching.

Big tip. Search " acclaimed films" on netflix you lose a lot of rubbish

Also found that with The Umbrella Academy, watched 3 episodes of it, gave up, it's trash.

The Boys on Prime is much better.

I enjoyed Riphagen.

As for ‘fall from grace’, I’ve not seen it but I can’t imagine it even comes close to Nicholas Cage’s Left Behind, which is so dreadful it was mesmerising. I highly recommend you watch it.
