Eurovision week!!!

Eurovision is getting camper and camper. Is it a really big thing in the gay scene?

I was listening to Radio 2 this afternoon. Scott Mills, Ryland Clarke and Richie Anderson all commentating in some way. Our entrant, obvs gay, then I suppose Graham Norton on Saturday. Struggling to find a straight male 💪😁

It's out of control since Wogan handed over the reins to Norton 😄

Quite a few were unable to get to the jury semi final tonight in Malmo as the Oresund Bridge was closed due to Anti Israeli protestors blocking it.

Croatia favourites at 5/6
That is hatstand! Although the lyrics "I'm a big boy now, I'm leaving home, I sold my cow" make it worthy alone.

I feel I'm the only one who doesn't like the Finnish entry? From the country that gave us Euro classics like Lordi and Kaarija it just doe nothing for me.

Although the latter seems to have emboldened Estonia, it would have been unthinkable years ago to imagine Finnish or Estonians singing in there super obscure native languages but Estonia have tried it this year

Israel entry booed during her semi-final rehearsal, not surprising really
Why is it not surprising? Is the Israel entry having a weekend off from the IDF? Have they been running amok in Gaza murdering and raping innocent civilians?

Or, are they just normal Israeli people entering an fun international song competition and have no input as to what happens in Palestine?

There were calls for Israel to be banned from the competition - hence this was always going to happen

I dont agree with booing the artist either but the complaints are not against the artist herself but the Eurovision organisers for including the country. Its not surprising esp given the demography of Malmo which saw 30,000 students take to the streets of the City today in protest.

Not really, until 1999 they had no choice. They had to sing in their own language (apart from a small period in the mid-70s)
And another fascinating fact I didn’t know until earlier in the week - the song can’t be longer than 3 mins.

Every day is a schoolday huh ?
