A Mayor For Tees Valley

A bit of a sh*t show i thought. Houchen came across as an arrogant pillock with a lie ready for all questions.

McEwan didn't inspire in what his vision was or in his rebuttals from chunks attacks.

I'm not positive with any of the candidates moving forward.

I will vote McEwan but I'm not expecting much.

For all the threats of lifting the lid on Teesworks and the Airport Houchen doesn't look concerned.

Is this the one where Houchen called out McEwan on the 350 houses and where McEwan had no come back. They all lie for their own benefit.
McEwan looked a bit out of his depth on that particular attack line which is disappointing. I actually think the standard of all local politicians is terrible. They all seem to struggle to articulate an argument or discussion point. Its a shame the selling point in the TVM contest is simply to remove a fat lying c9nt.

Sadly I don’t think McEwan was the candidate to put forward - I didn’t know the other bloke in the run off but given the importance I’m sure there were some way more impressive people in the local Labour Party that could have taken this on. I also don’t think Labour thought they stood a chance of overturning The Dark Lord and McEwan was a bit of sacrificial lamb. Fortunately people are starting to question Sir Bent and Labour look like they may actually have a shot at this. I don’t think the cut and thrust is McEwan’s style, he is a a plodder, a thinker not at all dynamic and as such not very impressive in debate. Let’s hope that doesn’t cost him.

The whole thing on the radio was a clusterfcuk but it played exactly into Houchens hands. He came across as a bit of a pr*ck but he made McEwen look like a weak fool.

McEwen was a terrible Labour Party choice and it has been backed up with a simply ridiculous campaign of “Houchen is a tosser” history has repeatedly shown that the electorate don’t like campaigns based on personal attacks

The public already know that Houchen is a tosser and are willing to turn a blind eye on the promise of investment and jobs. Labour needed a strong manifesto of what McEwen was going to do differently… Labour have failed to do that.

Labour had this in the bag and with a bit of hard work could have walked this election. Instead they have handed it on a plate to the Tories yet again 😡
