They’ve asked me to send the Q box back with remote, but nothing about coming to get the dish back.
Not that I can do much with it, of course.

It is if you’re still using the Q box.Isn't the dish not needed with the Q box?
You could melt it down and send it as a brick without postage, they can pay for that.Getting the dish back is too costly, plus they want to transition everyone away from them, so I guess they can't be bothered.
They never ask for the dish, they are usually left to rust. They’ve asked me to send the Q box back with remote, but nothing about coming to get the dish back.

Ha. That’s some gesture. They never ask for the dish, they are usually left to rust.
The last time I had Sky, they tried to fit a second dish under the existing one. I asked the lad if he could take it down and he refused. I told him that I didn't want another dish and he said it was the only way I could have Sky fitted. When I told him to pack his tools and leave, he rang his boss who asked to speak with me. He told me he would take it down as a goodwill gesture.
Ah yes I guess so.I recall when I took out sky q the blurb said you never owned the box and had to send it back if you cancel.
They can use the dish again - eg if you are moving then whoever moves in can connect their box to it.
Mate, stop deluding yourself. No one with any affiliation with Middlesbrough is in the slightest bit posh.Ah yes I guess so.
Yes I don’t care whether or not I own either really as they’re useless to me.
But I would quite like my dish taken down so my neighbours think I’ve turned posh.
You can plug the cables from the dish straight into most smart tvs. They’ve asked me to send the Q box back with remote, but nothing about coming to get the dish back.

That's what we do. We haven't had any or virgin for about 15 years now. If your tv doesn't have a freesat decoder built in then a freesat box will sort itYou can plug the cables from the dish straight into most smart tvs.
You won't be able to watch encoded channels like Sky but there are thousands of tv stations broadcasting on Freesat. Every BBC and ITV regional service is on there.
It’s nearly four decades since I studied property law but the legal maxim Quicquid plantatur solo, solo cedit should still apply I think. They’ve asked me to send the Q box back with remote, but nothing about coming to get the dish back.

Isn’t freesat getting switched off soon though? That's what we do. We haven't had any or virgin for about 15 years now. If your tv doesn't have a freesat decoder built in then a freesat box will sort it
