Trump calls for Liz Cheney to be jailed for investigating him over Capitol attack

I just love the fact he calls his social media platform "truth" without a hint of irony or a shred of self awareness.

An absolutely ridiculous character. Most of this nonsense won't happen even should he win. Just a thick bag of hot air.

Mind, the fact so many can't see it and want to vote for him, does regularly make me want to scream into a pillow.
 
He envies the power Putin has and wants the same. He thought president for life was a good idea, always wants to jail opponents, refers to violence as the answer to everything. These people get in because they are ridiculed and ignored by intelligent people even when they’re getting more popular with the masses of idiots who just like a good drama and can swing the balance to them. Truely amazing this can happen in America but hey Brexit happened in the uk…
 
There just isn't any justice in the world.
This man is detestable. A putrid human being. I hate him so much which is another reason to hate him even more.
Why didnt the CIA or NSA wipe him out and just blame it on the Russians? Or vice-versa.

Some people I speak to who are in the “Trump camp” just believe it’s a media witch hunt against him and he’s not as bad as the media make out.

I blame social media and some of the lockdowns. Even people I’ve known for years who I consider pretty intelligent and switched on went a bit on the conspiracy trail during Lockdowns.

Now i speak them, they don’t believe the mainstream media (although a few will read right wing papers 🫣) and aren’t 100% Covid was really that bad etc. it really does boggle the mind.

It’s almost like they’re supporting Trump as a FU to the media.

I don’t trust the media much at the best of times, but indepently researching Trump isn’t hard. 98% of the stuff he says is batshit crazy - hours of it on YouTube and Social Media. He’s not fit to be anywhere near Presidency.

Bit of course, that’s because the media has told me to think that way. The deep state etc. I’m not like those independent thinkers who do their “own research”.

This is the thing. Reality isn't there for alot of people.

I'm an intensive care doctor - I saw covid firsthand - so find the pandemic denials so bizarre.

I KNOW it is true, but there is s massive group of people that think it was a hoax. You can probably convince the same people Trump is a good guy done badly by the media.... its terrifying
 
Trump so desperately wants to be a dictator, he openly praises Hitler, Kim Jong Un and Putin and has said in private he wants to be "that sort of leader"

He tries to frame it as "just kidding" but when he speaks, people really should listen to the rhetoric he uses and compare it to said leaders.
 
The news Trump can't afford to post the bond for his civil fraud judgement, that no insurer will touch him might have some effect.

Part of his appeal among the MAGA's is that he is supposed to be rich, a winner. The money is how these people judge he must be a winner in fact.

Finding out he isn't, might just get a few to lose some belief in the messiah.

It is incredible that in a submission for appeal against a judgement that he lied about the value of his wealth and assets that he has claimed Mar-a-lago is worth 50-100 times the $18-27.6m value the Palm Beach County Assessor. He has claimed it is worth $739m before, now it is at least $1.3bn according to these maths. This is a written submission to the court.

If Mar-a-lago was worth this sort of money then insurers would have rushed to put up the bond which would have to be 120% of the $464m, around $560m at this point due to interest. I think they'd earn at least 2% for 3 years, up front, non recoverable, which is $18m. None will touch it.

So the NY AG Letitia James will be able to seize assets if/when this appeal fails. I wonder if she will go for Mar-a-lago - I expect she will have to seize almost everything he owns - and whether Trump will issue a call to arms to his disciples and we end up in a siege?

Add to that the news Michael Cohen, Stormy Daniels, Karen McDougal can testify and the Access Hollywood tape can be discussed at his hush money trial. Not a good week for the orange one.

Surely she should start with Trump Tower? Emblematic of his ponzi scheme and in New York. Will she auction the golden loo or have it melted down?

NY AG Letitia James said she was "very confident" with the strength of her case on appeal, reiterated that her office would not hesitate to seize Trump's assets -- mentioning Trump's 40 Wall Street skyscraper by name -- if the former president is unable to find the cash to cover the court-ordered disgorgement.

"We are prepared to make sure that the judgment is paid to New Yorkers, and yes, I look at 40 Wall Street each and every day,"
