How many points will be needed for the playoffs?

I think 77 points will be needed.

If you look at the form of the 6th placed team down to the 11th placed team, Carddiff and ourselves are the form teams, although Norwich and Coventry are still winning games.

I reckon 73 points.

So we'd need 7 wins from 9, which seems unlikely.

I don't see Norwich, Hull or Coventry winning 6 of 9 to get 77, personally.
 
unfortunately I reckon we will miss out we have not been consistent enough which is not surprising due to all of the injuries, but at least this season still has bit of hope left for now, also was thinking have we ever been in the top 6 at any point this season, if not it would be quite ironic if we make it for the first time on the last day of the season lol. Could be way off but did Blackburn not just sneak into the play offs on the last day of the season under Dalglish when Jack Walker started funding them

Sort of, it went down to the final game and they finished 6th, but were 3 points ahead of 7th with a better gd.
91/92, the season we went up with Lennie.

Now last season, Sunderland really sneaked in with 69 points. I think 6th place changed hands about 4 times on the final day.
 
I would rather have Norwich final nine fixtures, on paper only two tricky games.

Norwich games to play.. Stoke, Plymouth, Leicester, Ipswich, Sheff Wed, Preston, Bristol City, Swansea, Birmingham

We've no chance, 5pts behind Norwich, effectively 6 pts with the goal difference. so we need to find 7pts more.

That's not including Hull & Coventry who are also above us.
 
Momentum is a funny thing and we def have it

Win on say and it could be 2 pts a gap with hull still to come.

I think we drew our penultimate match Vs Wolves. Ironically, that was the night Sunderland slipped up and we overtook them by drawing.

Certainly we were in the automatic place before the final match: we knew if we won, we were up.

The 92 finish was something else; I think we won Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, coming from behind in at least 2 of those matches. True determination.
