The team needs your support

Will definitely be behind the lads, but at the same time not afraid to point out this aint good enough.

“Miles worse” (?) Yeah. Me too. All the way from losing to Wolves in the cup, thru to Murdoch's disaster and the padlock on the Ayresome gates. But it doesn't mean staying stum.

If this lot get into a dog fight at the bottom, do you think collectively they have the balls for a scrap? I hope so, too.

Don't forget, it's only a few years ago we nearly got relegated and Warnock saved us. We’ve not resolved our issues properly, otherwise we wouldn't be in this mess. As Dana Malt said, we’ve got loan players who are "crap".

We've had the fiasco over the season ticket prices, and people expect us to stop being angry and frustrated. Of course, we love Boro and want to do well, but for £510 people have a right to voice their displeasure.

Crowds dropped below 5k at that point

What would the equivalent be in today's game back to 12-14k crowds like the Strachan era?

Bluddy awful wasn't it.
Used to stand in the Holgate looking out across an empty expanse of seats, crash barriers with nobody behind them and the ghosts of good times in the rain, under the floodlights. When them gates were shut, no one could imagine living without the Boro.

What surprises me is the town didn't really rally round once the club was saved (before my time)

High unemployment and football hooligans probably didn't help, the 20k crowds didn't arrive until the following season

No hooligans, just no money. Town and the area kicked in the balls. Shops started shutting and footi climbed up from the ashes. No one believed it when the boys met on Albert Park an had to clean the dog **** off the grass before they trained. It was a real injection of joy and pride watching local lads [bleached blonde hair included] doing their best and climbing back up the leagues. (y)
UT*B !

You often find when it's backs to the wall and it's just the hardcore left in the stadium they are the best nights, all the fickle fans have deserted to the dodgy and it's great atmosphere,👍

Can’t agree with this at all. Name one game where ‘just the hardcore’ were there and there was a better atmosphere than Brentford/Brighton/Tottenham/Chelsea…?

Well of course for the big games that come around once every couple of seasons it's a great atmosphere.

I guess you haven't been to the sort of game I'm talking about, so you won't know what I mean 👍
